About a year and a half ago my older bother commited suicide.
Not only did he leave behind 3 other brothers and 4 sisters, he also left behind his his girlfriend he intened to marry, a his baby girl that he loved dearly and one that was on the way.
this is a real issue and if you know any one that has these fealings pleas talk to them and try to find them some help. if you are thinking of it your self you need to think of all the people you will leave behind because of you think you are making thing better you are not.

i speek the truth and i think about my brother every day and it is still hard to come to the realization that he is gone forever. i also wonder what his girls will ask when they get older. will they ask why, how, didnt he love me, and that is somthing we are going to have to deal with in time.

he's older girl is about 3 now and when we go to see the head stone says "my daddy in heaven witf mary and jesus" she knows even though at an early age that her father loved her. she also says "he an angle now" and some times i cant help but cry b/c i know she will love him even though he is gone and she was only 2 when he chose to commit suicide. i will miss my brother and so will the rest of my family. some times i wish i had done somthig to change it so he would still be here. but the only thing i can do now is try to help other people that think the same way and pray that they will think about all the people that love them.

As a part of my edication (med school) I have been working at a psychiatric ward with people who had tried to commit suicide. Some were still in such a high risk of another attemt that they had to be fixated (tied down against their wills).
Here in Denmark where I'm from such a patient must not be left alone at any time.

I was such a ward for a young man my own age who had attempted suicide. Beside the recent scars on his arms and throat you could also make out old ones from previous attempts.

When he wasn't asleep or drugged out of conscience we would chat, and it really gave me an understanding of how such people think.

He really believed, into the core of his soul that everybody - his family, friends, wife even - would have better and happier lives without him. He didn't really want to die himself and he had consideret running off many times and just start over another place in the world, but he knew his family would need som closure.
He had not the smallest bit of self esteem. He was sure that he was the root to all the bad things happening to his family and he wanted them to be happy even if it meant his own death.

People who have never seriously consideret suicide will never fully understand the thoughts and reasons why people do it. I'm working side by side with these people and I know I don't, despite all my knownledge.

lol I've though about suicide about 5 times in the past 2 months and about the first time I decided had to write my last words. which I have already wrote in case I do end up killing myself which doesnt seem to be as likely as I thought it would be.

I have about 3 relatives that are teens that tried to go suicide, its a terrible thing for the whole family! People out there that are going for suicide, stop there is another way!! There is someone out there that loves you!! Pleez dont do it!!! Talk to some!!

Scream: If you wonder why, ask. Sometimes people just need to be asked. How did this kid say he wanted to kill himself? Was it loud, or reserved, or reluctant? That can show you whether he was serious or just looking for attention. If you engage in conversation, be prepared to add some of your own. Be sympathetic, to anyone in that situation, whether they mean it or not. I don't usually suggest to be sympathetic, because most of the time I don't care ( for one ), but I've been in that situation, so I understand. Be nice; be cautious.
