We are killing and being killed every day and the responsibility lies with us for electing a warmonger president. Trigger happy soldiers shoot and ask questions later, although they are immune from prosecution. I repeat; American soldiers are daily murdering innocent Iraqis because that way, if they happen to be terrorists, the soldiers dont die. I.e. why not just kill everyone? This whole war is one big mess and a tragedy for mankind. As for Saddam being a world threat, that has been proved false. In any case there are lots more 'wicked' world leaders than Saddam was. We, in the pursuance of this war have created millions more potential terrorists. We cannot understand why everybody hates us because we're so nice, but when you invade a country and start killing its citizens and put an embargo on humanitarian aid so that the sick die, then people do start getting rather annoyed. This issue is the most pressing one facing us today. Let us never again wage war for spurious reasons. The war in Yugoslavia was just and so was the second world war, but Vietnam was a nasty mess and so has Iraq been. Spend money on making the world a better place not killing people. The iraqis will lynch any government set up by the US when troops leave until a powerful figure emerges from the debris. As for democracy, there has never been democracy in that part of the world. People there don't understand it. It is a western imposition. They have always had stability imposed by a brutal dictator at the point of a gun. And how our democracy has helped the weak, the poor and the old. One weeps. Who are the winners? The oil companies that guess who has an interest in. We wil reap what we have sown.

My brother is fighting for your ungrateful *** that's what we are doing in Iraq. Those "innocent" Iraqies are shooting and killing us too. We're not just going to sit here and wait for another terroist attack. We're trying to free their country.

You make it sound like a huge slaughter battle, which it is not. The media only tell you the negatives over there anyway. You also say that the Middle East has never had a democartic country. What about Turkey? Or Qatar? American deaths- about 250. Iraq military death- estimated at 50,000. The US won.
