Does anybody have any experience with an underground, anonymous, student newspaper? What are some good ways to pay for it? How do you distribute it without revealing the identities of members of the staff and without breaking any laws/rules or getting somebody in trouble? Any tips would be great. Thanx.

Well, I don't think you can get in trouble for it as long as you don't pose a threat to anyone. For example, it wouldn't be such a good idea to write an article on killing the president, etc... because the FBI will hunt you down.

Well, I don't know of another site to look on. Try to search for it. People don't destroy our papers or steal money. If they do, we have cameras. That teaches them.

Thanx, Paintbucket. I just put together a one page issue of "The Infotrator" (as in infiltrator, the name may change) the other night alone, without any help. It took like 5 hours getting it to look decent. It was the first issue ever and meant more for finding volunteers to help than anything else, so it had look good, be concise, and grab attention and interest. I plan to use this site as a platform for coordinating and gathering student submissions so that we don't have to worry about an administrator pretending to be a student with a submission. I had already thought about randomizing distribution to avoid people destroying them before they got far, but if you do that how do kids know where to look for them?
I can see by the number of views my posts have gotten that I need a better way to get help. Any reccomendations on that?

I run a paper called "Roxboro's zine". It's essentially local news, events, what kids think, gossip, and insults. It's free, but we accept donations at different places around town (mailboxes, bushes, stuff like that). We get a good flow of money. We drop it off at special drop points and people take one. It's pretty good. There are 8 editors and I am one. Just don't get caught if people want you to stop. Change codes and drop points and you can be all right. It's pretty good. I just got finished with a delivery. The police here don't care. They just think we're kids working in Capitalism. We tell them it's for Journalism class. Some of them even read the paper. Hope I could be of help.
