Thank you to all of you who helped the Kids Matter Project reach our goal of 100,000 clicks! Your support of the Kids Matter Project is greatly appreciated and will help us put together many more bags for children in need. The grant from Youthnoise will be used to buy toys such as barbies, action figures, Playdoh, coloring books, crayons/markers, journals, games(Checkers, Chess, deck of cards) and stuffed animals. We will probably be able to put approximately 125 comfort bags with the toys we buy, which will in turn benefit 125 kids. Your contributions will mean a lot to the kids who are recipients of the bags, as many of these kids have been recent victims of abuse and/or have no place to call home; the bags bring these children comfort and temporary distraction from their tumultuous lives.

If anyone is interested in starting a group like the one I have started, providing age appropriate toys and toilitries to children in need, I would be more than happy to help you get started. I can give you tips on what you should and shouldn't do - just let me know if I can help you with anything and I will do what I can.
