I've only been here in the NOISEboards for a few days, mostly just reading posts and seeing the stance people have on certain issues. Mostly what I've read has made me really, really sad. It seems we can't even dispute a point without resorting to shouting insults at one another and bashing very personal beliefs (I was reading a post where people were ganging up on someone's Mormon religion).

Honestly. I may not agree with some people here, but you don't need to resort to calling someone a moron, or writing in all caps, so forth and so on. The "coalition", as they call themselves, has beliefs, just as other people do who are against the coalition. You don't have to agree. But you don't have to resort to petty name calling.

If anything, we should work together- yes, work together, amazing idea, I know- to get what we believe out there. You wonder why adults don't listen to us? Why so many of our ideas go unrepresented? It's because they see boards like this, where most of the time intelligent conversation is overridden by childish squabbling.

Who wants to listen to toddlers fight, anyway?

So stop fighting. Take a deep breath. Act like adults. Try intelligent, calm communication. Bring facts forward, not just opinions when you disagree. And drop the name calling and all caps. It's annoying.
