i have a really good friend who told her parents she was having sex with her boyfriend so she would be able to get birthcontrol do you think she did the right thing?

Telling them was good, she was having sex before she was ready so it was bad...

ummm..i dont think it matters if you tell them or not.. tell them if they trust u cos if they found out......be ready for drama...
dont tell them if they dont hav any chance of finding out...it doesnt really matter,just as long as you protect yourself al the time...

Its a good thing that she told her parents, and that shes gonna get birthcontrol pills. Its a lot better to be safe than, not tell anyone and take a bigger and bigger risk each time you do have sex. So I think it was a really good idea that she did talk to her parents about it.

Yes, if you are having sex tell them! It can only help you earn their trust. Sure, they will probably be mad...but deep down they will have more respect for you because you were smart enough to tell them.
Not to mention it makes any parent feel important when there kid comes to them with such a big issue.

My mom did not wait for me to say something...as soon as a started having real boyfriends, she put me on birth control. Smart thinking mom!

you NEVER tell your parents you're doing it. in my case, I'm dead because my parents found out on their own. so yeah, just be sneaky about it. you can get the pill and stuff without parental consent in most places.
