i cut like nine inches off and i was asked if i wanted to donated it . I jumped up and said yes !!!!!!! It was good i cut off my unmangable hair and gave to somebody who needs it. i hope somebody likes my hair is that werid ??

I got thirty six inches cut off three years ago...but it literally trailed the ground then, so it wasn't like it was a noble sacrifice for charity. But I did donate it. It's getting too long again...I'll probably have to get it cut again soon. Meh.

I cut 12 inches off a year ago. Eh. Sometimes I miss it, sometimes I'm glad it's gone.

Eh...that's strange. I've always considered a foot of hair to be a lot of hair.

Nicole and everyone else I think that donating your hair to locks of love or any closely related foundation is extremely noble. Kids with cancer that are now having kemotherapy can be closer to normal. That's a great thing to do! This is really appreciated by me because I know someone with a brain tumor that is probably going to die. Shes really sick. Some days shes better that others, but when shes sick she barfs probably the whole day and is extremely weak. I probably shouldn't be saying this so never mind.

I gave away 14 inches of my hair to "wigs for kids"
Its good to know you did something to help others.
IF you want to cut your hair: Please think about what you'd be doing for these kids!, your giving self-esteem to all children getting over cancer!

I'm getting my hair cut this weekend, but I'll probably only get about 8 inches cut off. So, I dont think their going to donate it or anything.

about 1 year ago i cut off 12 inches of my hair and gave it to locks for love. i've been wanting to get my hair cut like a few inches shorter but i decided to donate it! It was truly a wonderful experience! The best thing was that one of my best friends was with me and her mother was going through cemo therapy at that time and it truly touched her and she started crying! you just don't know how it feels till you try it

That's a good cause. I never really thought of it, but I'll remember it whenever I go to my hairstylest, though I don't think they'll like my super thin hair, it's like really thin and might break easily, soft, but thin.

i am growing out my hair for locks of love. my friends say i am nuts because i have really thick, long, blong hair. i have natural highlights too. they all say i am a freak fo doing that, but i say oh well. it is like what gwen said

My sister grows her hair out and cuts off 2 feet of it every other year when its long enough. She likes giving it to the wigs for kids foundation thing

That's awsome that u're gonna cut 10 inches off of ur hair! i just recently did that...but i cut 15 inches off. i donated it to Locks Of Love in memory of a friend who just died of breast cancer. i now am plannng to grow it out again so i can cut it again too. keep up the good work!!

I'm planning on hacking off 10 in. of my really long hair to give to Locks of Love...my mom's not happy about it (trying everything to get me to change my mind), but she's finally given the okay--I'm sooo relieved! I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but she seems to like my long hair a lot more than I do! I've had like 2 feet of hair for my whole life and it's kind of unfair when there's some little girl somewhere who doesn't have any.

I have superthick hair too.I cannot find a way of getting it right because one suare inch of it has a mass almost beyond fitting into a suare inch, and it's density is far from imaginiable!lol
Maybe, if they can attach the short strands to make them long enough. I'll still have hair to keep adn plenty to spare!lol

i donated 10 inches of my super thick hair 2 locks of love my hair is now almost at the end of my neck it was really long...i feel really good about wat i did...thats all i have 2 say

I'm afraid my hair is only two inches below the shoulder so it ain't long enough for a wig.I don't think anyone would want this big brown mass anyway.lol It's so thick i look like a lion!
