On June 19th, thousands of teens will begin marching across America for this "all-partisan" event. Hundreds of organizations, bands, artists and elected officials will be holding events across the nation to help the effort to mobilize today's youth. Find out more about Mobilizing America's Youth at www.mobilize.org. Why march?Help us young people claim our role in government. Marching to raise awareness gets us several steps closer to increasing civic engagement and political participation among teens. Along the way, there will be service activities, concerts, political speakers, sporting events, and voter registration drives. Check out the march route to find the events in your area and to see the entire route mapped out across the country. WE’LL be there. Will YOU???Join YouthNOISE in the march to mobilize youth! We’ll be there in the beginning and in the end. Look for our banner on the first day (June 19th) in San Francisco, CA and on the last day (July 1st) in Washington, DC. Organize here!Wanna hook up with other NOISEmakers along the march route? Let 'em know you're coming! - Use this board to post and get organized.
Wanna hook up with YouthNOISE AND other NOISEmakers in San Francisco and DC? - Look for our banner at the events or email us at action@youthnoisemail.com if you need more information to make plans!

Hey all, my name is Kalin and I am actually helping plan the March Across America. One quick thing... we not only marching for "teen rights" rather we are marching to inspire to young people in order to empower them.
Currently young people occupy one of the largest underrepresented groups in the United States, it is time for us to step up to the plate, make some noise and stand up for ourselves and our beliefs.
We want to know your issues, what you care about, and challenge you to be the change you want to see in your local community.
Who's with me?!

quote: MLK marched for racial equality. You are marching for...? I really don't know. "Teen's rights"? what a joke
Because we all know that racism is the ONLY problem with this world.

Well, I went to the website b/c I didn't know what it was either. so anyway, I found out that it's not realy a physical "march". It's just a bunch of events in lots of different places to show that youth cares. There will bee local bands, speakers, outdoor games, stuff like that. It would defietly be cool to see noisemakers come out to the "march". I mean, it's not really about "teen rights", whatever that means. It's about dispelling stereotypes about young people. I am so sick of people saying that we don't care or that we're su[perficial and all we care about is ourselves. Lets get out there and show people that our generation is NOT apathetic! I mean I really care about politics and standing up for what I believe in. And if we really have power in numbers, imagine what message we could send with thousands of us showing up. Plus I defintely want to meet other noisemakers who care about what I do. so who's with me??

Hey everybody! My name is Grace Hunter and I'll be at Crissy Field in San Francisco for the kick off of the march. A group of staff and youthNOISE users will be there with a banner by seven o' clock in the morning and we will be hanging out and having fun all day. Anyone who wants to join us, please come!! There will be speakers discussing important, youth-related issues, performers, live music, and anyone who wants to can walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. Not only is the event going to be amazing, but it would also be awesome to meet other youthNOISE users in the area.
