I think that it is stupid that my mom won't let me have a boyfriend 'till I'm older. If I find a guy that I really like, and he really likes me, why do I have to wait? Do you people have parents like this? What do you think?

The sad thing is when parents dont allow their daughters to date and it becomes a sort of "forbidden fruit". When they do get to the age they are allowed to date they often get themselves into trouble with it.

most parents are like that here,when i say most i mean 99.9%.
but they usually don't do anything about it until they know things have already happened,actually it's always too late
my friend is going out with her third boyfriend while her mom thinks she's still her own little girl.
i don't have a problem with that though,i'm not in love with anyone.but it does get a little annoying when parents misunderstand me.

Yes, I have parents like that. I'm not allowed to date til I'm 16. I'm also not allowed to kiss a boy til I'm 16. NOW THAT'S STRICT!!! You think that you've got it bad? I can't look at a guy without getting told off. I can't even go down to the end of the street without giving my Mom a leaving and returning date. I can't go ANYWHERE without first notifying my parents. They don't care if it's just to the neighbor's yard. At least I'm not the only one with parents so strict.
I can only hope that when I turn 16, they'll be a little less harsh. I donno. At any rate I gotta cope til then, which will be hard to do! lol
