Wasn't really sure where else to put this.

My boyfriend is going to be home on September 23rd which means he will be home on September 26th...the day on which we will have been together for a year.

This has been a very important date to us for some time - he was worried about not being home for it and missing it and I was wondering if I'd have to spend this sorta milestone alone. We had discussed possibly even spending the whole day together.

It falls on a Monday which kinda sucks...Mom is still going to make me go to school but she's going to let me have my regular 11pm curfew. So I'll have from about 3:00pm to 11:00pm to spend with my guy.

Here's the problem: I don't know what to do. I'm not sure if he will have money (do recruits get paid during boot camp?) and I'll get paid the Friday before but, at most, I'll have like $80 and at the least, none or $20 depending on how many days I work.

Obviously, we have to eat. I wanted to get dressed up nice and pretty and go to a nice restaurant (I'm thinking Carraba's) and then do something more casual but still fun afterwards.

However (yes, of course, I'm going to make this more difficult than it has to be), I do not want to go to a movie, I do not want to go bowling, and I do not want to play miniature golf. I know that doesn't leave a lot of things to do but I was hoping to think of something creative.

Any ideas anyone?

He hasn't yet. He's already been put in PCP twice and is currently at the rifle range. In the letter he got today, he said he didn't qualify but that he had all week to do it and wasn't worried.

I'm glad to hear he gets paid. He'd probably be p*ssed if he came home and was broke and I had to pay for stuff. He doesn't like it when I do that.

Oh and he also said that he knew what we were going to do for dinner for one year...but failed to mention it to me. I think he's going to cook...and I don't know how well he cooks so that should be interesting.
