I'm not sure if this is considered as having a "stalker", but I feel like there is a fine line between being stalked and being harrassed.

At the beginning of last year, I started talking to this really quiet guy that had always gone to my school, but had never really known. I figured time was running out, and who knows, I may make a friend...well, I regret that now.

The guy turned out to be downright creepy. He kept calling and emailing me, and telling me about dreams about me having a baby, and said that I would be pregnant by the end of the year.
(I have very strong feelings about NOT having sex.) He mentioned this a lot, and wherever I was in school, there he would be.

This was probably stupid, thinking back, but I eventually was really rude to him, and practically ignored him because he really freaked me out.

He gave up, and now dislikes me, and supposedly I'm "an airhead." So be it. I feel safe now.

Well as for self defense, I think I have that covered. I lift weights, every one(even the guys) tell me I'm way strong for a girl. I've also taken some karate and twai wan do(not sure if spelled right) classes in the past. One of my guy friends is teaching me how to box and one of my cousins is going to train me on some more karate and kick boxing(his a black belt), so I'm looking foward to that. I'm not the type who panics in this situation(thank God). One time this guy(who we still don't know who he was), would came for three nights on the same week around 2 and 3 in the morning to knock on my bedroom window. We called the police everytime, but they never found who he was, they suspected it might be another neighboor. Well the last time he really freaked out my siter who was at the room(I had stayed in the living room), I got really upset when she came out all nervous out of the room to tell me that someone was consitantly knocking on the window. So, I went outside to teach the guy a lesson, but I couldn't find him around the house and it was dark. I thought I heard a dog by so I made this really loud clap sound and as I did there was a guy 2 houses away walking on the street, when he heard me ands saw me he ran to hide behind a neighboors wall, I was gonna go and ask him what the heck he wanted, but my sis was really freaked out already and had the phone in her hands, she called the cops. They didn't find him and I was like Aaaaahh, I had the chance to get to see who he was and didn't take it. But I guess it was smarter not to go where he was, you never know if he was armed or not.

Thank you for your advice. Well I really have not been stalked to the point that I should carry a weopon, by my sister has. It was really a frustrating situation since the guy was one of our neighboors. He use to follow her in his car when she went jogging, would wait for me and my sister to get off the bus after school and invite us into his house(as if we would ever accept or even turn to see him) and even had the nerve to break into our garage one night after getting drunk. We called the police that time and he hasn't bothered us ever since. But I think my sis has a can of peper spray somewhere...

I a sense, yes. I wanted her to leave me alone, so I got some people together and played mind games with her via IMs. She found out I was behind it and has hated me ever since. While she spread some rumors baout me, I'm out of High School so I don't care!

I've never been stalked (I'm a boring preppy uninteresting person) but someone got on one of my guy friends email and pretended to be my friend and told me he had an AIM account. So me and the person-pretending-to-be-my-friend chatted on that a few times before telling me that he wanted to have sex with me and have kids with me and crap. So I spent a year being mad at my friend before I found out it wasn't my friend after all. When I apologized to Josh for ignoring him for a year, he said, "You've been ignoring me?" my proof that guys are jerks. Also, one of my friends knew this guy that told a bunch of people they'd had sex. Then we were at the movies and he was there. It was funny.

wow I never thought anyone on here would support carrying a gun....good job!!!! Don't you hate those movies where the movie would be over in 10 minutes if the person only believed in guns...

As for stalkers, I have had many inoccent ones. A girl at school used to follow me everywhere, ummm people at parties I never met before talked to me like I was their best friend, they knew way too much about me. Ummm this girl at a party told her friends I had sex with her and said I wanted to marry her. I think most of that I would just let slide...I never did anything about any of those.

I have had people threaten me at clubs or threaten me online that they'll get me somewhere where I hang out. Umm...I am pretty decent at defending myself and most clubs I go to, about 90% percent of the people are my friends....so usually these people realize they made a mistake. I have confronted a few of these people face to face. But it is nothing to take lightly, people do get killed by violent stalkers. If you feel this is a real threat, speak with the police and try not to go places alone, always have people around you. And yes consider some form of self defence....

Notify the police if the threat is severe enough, ie you think the stalker intends you harm. Carry an effective defense weapon that you are comfortable with. If the person is not a threat, confront him/her. had you been over 21 I'd reccomend applying for a concealed carry permit, but you should still be able to open carry, being an adult. Call der polezei and check before hand, but here is the information as far as I know:
