Ok, I have a boyfriend. I'm 13. My mom says I'm "too young." I'm definatly a lot more mature than most of the kids in my grade, and I really don't think I'm too young. At this age, no one really "dates." We all just go out in big groups and some of us are "together." Anyway, whenever I'm talking to my BF on the phone my mom picks up, yells at me to get off and then later says I'm too young. So what's the right age? And any help w/ my problem...plz?

Your mom's just trying to protect you. Be thankful. Not everyone has parents like that.

Thanks people. A guy's already broken up with me and it took me awhile to get over it. I wasn't like all effected by it... and w/ this guy right now, he's um already asked me how far he could go right now. lol So, I guess that's goodm he's not pressuring or anything... Also, no one actually REALLY dates. Just like what Queenrocks that.

So, no one your age really "dates," right? Just, "Well, so and so is going out with what's their name."? Then I see nothing wrong with it. I was 12 when I had my 1st so-called "boyfriend." But I guess you need to trust your parents to make the right decision...or maybe they should trust you.
Why not ask your Mom why she thinks you're too young?

ok i'm 13 too and my mom says that i'm too young 2 have a bf but i still do. At least she doesn't stop me from talking on the phone with him. i do have 2 stay in the living room so she can hear every word i say. but wait and eventually she will calm down or tri 2 show her u r not a little kid nemore ur growing up

as long as youre ready for responsibility and all that stuff. but if you're like 11 or 12, than i don't think u should date.

your mom is just worried about u. i mean, you're only 13.

think about it for a sec,if that guy decided to break up with u, can u handle it? if he wants to have sex with u, what are u gonna do?
