If you're dating your boss, that is a really bad idea. If you two broke up, or if something happened, work would be hell for you. Also, you may be getting special attention from him at work, which may not bode well with other employees.

Heyy everyone.. I am 15 dating a 21 year old, and yes we get ALOT of flack from EVERYONE.. who doesn't know the situation, which is the sad part because no one wants to... any one know about a trust law.. p.s pretti bad styll but he is also my boss (was.. might be forced to quit by my father who is telling me I can never see him again)

Officially, it's not even illegal for you to have sex when you turn 14, that's the age a person supposedly is old enough to decide. However, until you turn 16, it's not legal to engage in any sexual activity AT ALL (no kissing, making out, oral, anything) with someone over 18, or it is considered a form of rape.

Not always. It depends on the person. Some college students aren't old or wise enough to figure out who they want to date (that's healthy). It all really just depends on the person.

as for you weed4life you are triphalin. Why in hell would you date som eone 7 years older than you. Just to let you know he will go to jail if anyone finds out. At the age of 14 you are old or wise enough to pick who ever you want to date. Just warning you about the consequences that are ahead.

By law when he turns 18 and you are under 18 then he is subject to stachitory rape charges so be careful. He can go to jail for a while if anyone presses charges. Just telling you proven facts.

yai would like to find out the laws on dating as well. im 16 and he's 14, i live in canada and he lives in new york. i dont kno if it's illegal to date or have sex...im unsure and i just would relly like to kno just incase we do get caught if we ever do, do it...i personally dont see anything wrong with it.

It probably depends on your state (heck, some states consider premarital sex illegal no matter what age you are), but as far as I know, it's only illegal when you have sex, i.e. statutory rape. And while I find it odd that a 13 year old (seventh grader) would be dating an 18 year old (a high school senior), if your parents have no objections, then that's all that really matters. Other people may think it wrong, but those are their opinions, nothing more.

Okay. I've been searching the internet for information on this, but I can't find anything helpful. I'm dating a guy who's over 18, and I'm 5 years younger then him. I know it's illegal to have sex n all, but how far can we go before it starts to be illegal? Can we kiss and stuff, or would people consider that too far? And if my parents are okay with it, is there any problem with us dating?

i'm new here need to find some stuff out... i ws dating a guy for 6 months... everyone was fine with it im now 14 (15 in 2months) and i was dating a 17 year old... somehow the cops fond us and said brake up or he goes to jail... i thought it was perfectly fine to date him.. he wasnt 18 and the both of us would never hav sex until it ok....but heres the catch.. he lives in canada and i live in connecticut.. can someone tell me wats up?

Look, to answer all your doubts:

It is perfectly legal for someone for you to date someone that's till 18. Unless you are, say, 11 and the person is 18, I don't think there is a law approving or dispproving that, but it's certainly frowned upon.

If you are dating someone and they happen to turn 18, it's still legal, unless the person is seven years older than you.

If you are 15, and dating a 22-year-old, it's also legal. Seven years max, I think.

Now, quit bitching on it. As a professinal older-man dater, I can say that worrying about this is extremely stupid unless the person is THAT MUCH (like ten years or more) older than you, and even then most people don't give a shit and you can hide pretty well. And if you're worried the eprson is too old for you and they are 18 or under, then it's probably because you're too naïve to be dating someone older than you.

Dating in general is a huge responsibility, dating someone older is worse, because it can either better your life or worsen it if you're not ready.

As far as I know it's not illegal until one person is 18 or older and then the age difference thing comes in to play... but I'm not entirely sure.

I don't think it's illegal to date him but if you have sex under the age of 16 it is.

us law states a 3 year rule and also if he one party is 18 and the other is under the age of 18 then it is a crime . Now if your mom say ur not seeing him she can do some legal stuff to stop u to from having contact with each other
