Okay, there is this boy at my church and he has been flirting with me since, say, about a month ago. I think he likes me, but he's 2 years younger than me. My best friend says its gross that someone my age should like someone 2 or more years younger or older than myself.So I want to know what you think...

Incase you need some more info, I'm in grade eight, and he's in grade 6. I'm not saying that we will be dating or anything, but is it wroong just to like them?

Well anyway, I too believe everyone should dream. Just like some girls dream to be with Johnny Depp, who is indeed "much" older than them. It's just a crush, but even if you want to do something more like dating.. I believe age is nothing but a number

At your age, it probably won't get too serious. Dating in junior high is more for the friendship, I think.

But even if you're not thinking of dating, there's nothing wrong with liking someone a couple of years younger than you. Like whomever you want.

Yeah I'm with Kate. As you get older, age differences seem to mean less. But from 6th to 8th grade is a huge gap in emotion and maturity. You're two years ahead of him mentally and emotionally, and those two particular years make a big difference in life experience. I'd say let this one go.

That's a pretty big age gap at your age.... But in the end it's up to you, not your friend. If you like him, and are ok with the age differance, than it's fine.
