What should I do to get closer with my boyfriend?
we're still kind of awkward around each other.

like conversation starters..should i call him more?..hug him out of nowhere..just give me pointers on being a better gf..please.

i know i like to write and its really hard for me to say things face to face. i had to work up the courage just to break up with my last bf over the phone. so what i do is tell the complete truth (because the truth always helps) and write it down so they can read it later when ur elsewhere.

tell him how you feel and maybe you could pass notes to each other so that talking gets easier.

but all in all the more you hang out with each other the easier it gets.

a good idea is to hang out with friends that you both know but stay close so that you can have more things to talk about. ^_^

okay..well..we're temporarily neighbors but he doesn't come out as much as like I'd like.because his grandma lives next to me..we don't really act like a couple..we don't necessarily call each other obviously because we're neighbors.
We don't hug like couples do..and I'd just really like to act like a real couple.

For starters, trying to force closeness will just spook him. Demonstrating your feelings for him by hugging and whatnot isn't a bad idea as long as it's genuine, but if he doesn't reciprocate, ease up on that a bit. If you guys don't see each other much, calling him more could be a good thing as long as your conversations don't wind up being fifteen minutes of awkward pauses punctuated by thirty seconds of conversation.

In my experience, though, a lot of closeness just comes with time.
