I think that former gov. of Va., Mark Warner would be an excellent president. also, on a different note, I think Dick Armey, former house majority leader, would be a good republican candidate for president. Usually I never have anything good to say about republicans (freemarketlover, im a liberal as well don't bash our beliefs. we're trying to save your civil liberties). anyway, Fiengold(D,Wis) would be a good choice as well. he was the only senator to vote against the PATRIOT ACT.

And I hope nobody would try what he did 20 or 30 years ago, it obviously caused him some brain damage... Roll Eyes Wink

To counter your attack on Clinton: Bush did drugs, as well, he's been quoted on it. He told some news station in New Hampshire, after being asked if he had used drugs, marajuana or cocaine: "I'm not going to talk about what I did as a child. What I am going to talk about -- and I am going to say this consistently -- [is that] it is irrelevant what I did 20 to 30 years ago. What's relevant is that I have learned from any mistakes I made. I do not want to send signals to anybody that what Gov. Bush did 30 years ago is cool to try."

And if I'm mistaken, you can hold it against me.

Ok yes I've about Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, blah blah blah...But the fact of the matter is that when Clinton was Impeached, there was a national survey done on whether or not the public approved of his affair/the job he was doing in office...guess what 60% of americans said they didn't care about his affair, and approved of the job he was going in office. The thing most were upset over is the fact that he lied about the affair on Nat'l. TV, not that he had one.

proof?

btw katilinamcnacha or however you spell it, thanks for that line.

Clinton.

I've heard some things but I haven't looked into it. Have you heard some of the things that have been said about President Bush?

Barack Obama

there would be one flaw with him. and that is that he is a senator. there have only been a select few who have won the white house by being a senator. Their records are so open to attack that it is hard to deny it and win. as opposed to being a governor where i is much harder to get at records.

Ahh. . . Joey. To be in denial must be a terrible thing. Unable to respond direstly to our posts for fear of losing. Your mass media icon fits you well. Is that your news source?

I will, however, be civil if you attempt to explain exactly why you dislike liberals and Obama.

Thanks, FML, for attempting to bring the debate back down to earth.

But I fear your efforts have been worthless...these little babaies will always be babies when someone like me calls it as it is.

Also, most liberals (not all) distrust mainstream media because of government influence. So you're assuming I haven't done my research. I followed Obama's election and have since looked up on him. Geez, everyone is so great at assuming and so bad at asking.

I'm not denying anything... I'm saying that it is annoying and hurtful when people generalize and group people together. It would be like saying: "You christians are all hyppocrits because you religion teaches tolerance and yet you are intolerant to gays!" First off, that's a false assumption (for many), and secondly, not all christians are intolerant to gays and not all sects of christianity teach tolerance...
