It was a last resort and his job is to defend America at all costs.

The only "last Resort" he has ever been to is Dolly World. (not dissing Dolly World) The Iraqis did not attack us, or did you miss that brain wave? They had nothing to do with 9-11, nothing more than any other nation on the planet. Korea is more of a threat than Iraq, but we went diplomaticly with them. You know why? Because he is a coward and does not want to fight a near equal.

quote:
We don't need the rest of the worlds support to defend our nation.

It would suck if they moved against us, though.

And it is really time to stop using Sep-11 for excuses. It is getting really old, and I am very tired of hearing about it. Let it die gracefully...if it can...

It is imperative that all the staunch conservatives would comprehend that just because a person expresses dislike for Bush, DOES NOT MEAN THEY SUPPORT OR "ARE FOR" KERRY.

I think the main difference between Kerry and Bush, when it comes to coming across as having morals, is that Bush constantly reminds the nation he allegedly has morals. Kerry stuck more to the facts, while Bush made a broader effort to appeal to people's sense of decency with such savvy political rhetoric as "I'm an honest man" and "God bless" (repeat the latter ad naseum). This, of course, was designed to cast Kerry as not having any morals. It's like those annoying "Support Our Troops, Vote Republican" stickers...they imply Democrats don't support our troops. So really, Bush's "morals" and Kerry's "lack thereof" was nothing more than image mixed with harsh (and immoral, if you will) implications.

It's stuff like this that just makes me want to bang my head against the wall. America was not in danger, and this war was not a last resort. It wasn't even arguably in last resort terrority!

However their is no pricetag on freedom.

That's the double-whammy with Bush. He's accomplishing nothing, for the low low price of billions of dollars and tens of thousands of lives!
quote:
We don't need the rest of the worlds support to defend our nation.

I agree that we need to put our own best interests first, but pointlessly alienating former allies is just wrong. It's another hypocrisy of the Bush administration: he's in Iraq because he cares so dearly about the rest of the world, yet he's turning his back on the actual rest of the world.

The top one percent of wealthiest Americans pay 48 percent of all national taxes, you get out what you put in.

Restrictionless capitalism will be the demise of America. You'll undoubtedly shout "Communist!" at that statement, but the truth is we need the government to step in and even things out a little. Otherwise, we'll see the social classes that have formed become more and more rigid and inescapable, until eventually nearly all the money is in the hands of a few, and if you're not born into that few, you're screwed.

Also, regarding the recession, I have decided I'm going to arbitrarily assign the blame to Nixon. If you can do it, why can't I?

Yes, Bush's "morals" are sickening.

At least he has morals. And they are good morals.

quote:
Was Bush demonstrating good morals by sending us to a war we don't need to be in?

It was a last resort and his job is to defend America at all costs.

quote:
Was he demonstrating good morals by being indirectly responsible for the deaths of over a thousand Americans and ten-thousand Iraqis?

However their is no pricetag on freedom.

quote:
Was he demonstrating good morals by destroying America's global reputation?

We don't need the rest of the worlds support to defend our nation.

quote:
Was he demonstrating good morals by giving a vast majority of the tax cuts in this nation to the wealthy?

The top one percent of wealthiest Americans pay 48 percent of all national taxes, you get out what you put in. And besides, some small businesses who make $200,000 annually pay individual taxes. And our economy has benefitted from these these tax cuts because it has been growing for a little over a year now. You know (the economy Clinton put into recession)

Yes, Bush's "morals" are sickening. It's more proof of how Christian ideals and Christian fundemantalism have absolutely nothing to do with one another. Was Bush demonstrating good morals by sending us to a war we don't need to be in? Was he demonstrating good morals by being indirectly responsible for the deaths of over a thousand Americans and ten-thousand Iraqis? Was he demonstrating good morals by destroying America's global reputation? Was he demonstrating good morals by giving a vast majority of the tax cuts in this nation to the wealthy?

Of course not, but none of that matters, as he's pro-life, anti-gay marriage, and claims to be a good Christian man and least five times a press conference.

Good going, America. Roll Eyes

It's quite amusing the Bush supporters have actually convinced themselves that America is going to be A-OK. Yeah. Amusing.

Also, your designation of morality is far more contrived than the definition intends.

I love to scope out the Kerry supporters and then thank God that I am not associated with them. Just look at the type of people who support Kerry - it is disgusting and at the same time, sad.

Anyways, quit your crying, you liberals, and begin to realize that a country without morals is a country without hope - good thing we still have hope.

Whats happening to this world? Do people refuse to see the truth and look at the facts. Cnn says that the main issue that swayed the election was "moral issues" like abortion and gay marrige. Well to me I could care less about people wanting to get married, but I do feel strongly about sending young people in their 20's who are just starting their lives, to die, in a war that we shouldn't be in, in the first place. And don't try and deny it. Iraq isn't who America was supposedly at war with and 911 only helped the administration with what they probrally would have done anyways. Bush is against abortion but is for sending people to war. Don't get me started on the economy, up here in Canada we love you because it's now cheaper for us.

I don't think the country can unite, although I cannot say that for sure because I do not live there.

Go KERRY!!!!
