With everything that has gone on in politics in 2003, Saddam's capture, etc...What do you think is in store for the American Gov't and its' citizens for the year 2004?...Will Osama be captured?, will the Taliban, or Al Queda strike the U.S. again?...And probably topping the list election 2004, will it be an easy road for the incumbant George Bush, or will Howard Dean, Dick Gephardt, or John Kerry come out in 2004 as the Democrat-Presidential Nominee?...And when it comes down to the bottom line: "Will we have a Democrat President in office?"or will Bush eek out a win?...Give your input on what you think will occur up until election 2004... People keep complaining about the money being given to the space program. What about the military? Why is it that money is so willingly given to preemptive military force and safety-net weaponry, but it is clawed away from areas of science because these are mere theories? I totally agree that education deserves much more funding, but I beleive that the sciences also deserve more funding. It makes no sense for teachers and scientists to be come of the most poorly paid individuals when their jobs are those that will most greatly affect our future. Science saves lives and education creates them. Science is a worthy cause for money because it creates. Even the space program has greatly added to our knowledge, not just of the universe, but also our world and ourselves. Astronauts aren't just going up there and floating around, they are conducting expiriments that will affect our health, environment and future.

i think that the astranuants shouldn't be wasting their time going into space. we could use that money for something better like for the schools. i know some schools who cant even afford books. i know that the columbia ordeal was tradgic but that just shows us how dangerous and how we are throwing away our money.

Well, unless the economy tanks, we have another terrorist attack and/or Hell becomes a nice vacation spot, I don't think we're going to see a Democrat elected. None of the Democrats currently running for president have a higher approval rating than Bush, and that including their approval rating with Young Voters (Modern Oxymoron!). That can't be good for them. And currently, the best man they have for the presidency is Kerry, who has a charisma level that makes Al Gore look like JFK. Edwards doesn't have the experience to really gain the nomination, and will probably end up as vice-president on the Democratic ticket. Howard Dean is pretty much through, after having failed in Iowa and than having proceeded to look even more mentally unstable and caricature-like than before. Gephardt is gone. Kucinich sounds like he should be running for the CPUSA. And Al Sharpton is... Well, Al Sharpton.

Overall, I think that George W. is going to be around for another four years.

Well I hope John Edwards is elected President in 2004. Hopefully we have no more terrorist attacks and we can finish our job in Iraq and get out by years end. I guess there's not much new coming. Hopefully we havea great, safe year!

I'll go out on a limb and say Gephardt probably won't make it.
