What makes me mad is when kids believe things because their parents do. My school is prodominently Republican and my class enourmously supports Bush (YUCK ) but what i ask anyone of them why they like him they have no responce and then why i ask them why they support him they say because my parents do. How about we get open-minded and form our own opinions.

the reason why that happens is because if thats all they hear st home, then they will eventually be brainwashed into thinking the same thing.

Many people tend to form opinions on an absolutely insane, completely illogical basis. For example, in this country 50% of people didn't watch Bush's state of the union address. Yet the majority said their opinion of him improved because he looked "more presidential!" Let's be honest here, the adults probably aren't that much more logical and/or rational than their children when it comes to something like politics, they just thinkthey are.*
*And anyone who's ever really studied philosophy and history will tell you that there is nothing more dangerous and ignorant than a person who's decided they "know enough", or worse "know many things."
