Many of you have been talking about how aborition is wrong, but it's much more than what you think. It's a right that women should have and need as protection of their bodies.

Susan B.Anthony worked for fifty years to get women the right to vote. Her slogan was that failure was impossible. Without her women wouldn't have equal voting rights, or equal rights. But still, even today not all women have equal rights. THose of us that are under the age of 18 don't have equal rights. We can't go and have aborition without our parents finding out.

Sarah Weddington, a lawyer from Austin, Texas, worked for 15 years to fight against the law. THe law was against abortion, and she didn't think that it was right for a bunch of men to decide whether or not it was right for the woman to have rights to her fetus. To quote from her book, "A question of choice" : 'Anti-abortion laws had become emblematic of the laws and customs that imprisoned women. Without the ability to control their reproductive cpacity, women could not fully control education, employment, family size, or their own physical or psychological well-being.' Sarah Weddington fought and won Roe vs. Wade.
She is now still fighting to keep Roe vs. Wade alive.

So many women died becuase aboritons were illegal. I know that everyone want's to get religious about this, but it's a woman's right to have say over her body. Eve Ensler, who wrote "The Vagina Monologues" states in her play, 'what lies beneath my short skirt is mine and mine alone.' The same goes for abortion, what lies in a woman's uterus is hers and hers alone. Some may see it as murder, others will see it as an option from harm and many other things. A woman who has 4 kids, was forced by her husband to have another child. She could barley take care of the 4 she aldready had. So she went and had an abortion becuase she couldn't raise another child. ANd do you really think that she was going to give it up for adoption when she already had 4 children of her own?

I know many couples want large familes but there are some that don't. There are some women that get raped by their husbands, there are women that get raped by a date, or just raped. There are some women who are under the age of 18 that get pregnant and can neither care nor raise for a child. And those young women's familes do not want to raise the child. She could give it up for adoption, but some young women can't tell their parents that she's pregant much less or she'll be thrown out into the streets. It sounds drastict, but yet it's the truth.

It's a woman's right to her vagina, her uterus, and her body. The law should protect her rights as well. As a woman I do not know if I could have an abortion, but I know that it's an option if I have to have it!

Women are entitled to their bodies, and to their reproductive capacities. It's no one elses business except for that women. And if you are so againt aboriton, close your bibles, stop preaching abstience only, teach how to use protection. Condoms are effective in keeping pregancy from happening. Teach compensative courses on safe sex and healthy sexual education. Don't leave people curious, let them know the facts about sex. Don't leave anything out. Sex is a part of our lives.

Every woman should learn to put a condom on a man. For her own safety and for her own protection. Not just women...but everyone!

So...you see, you may be all about pro-life, but don't be a part of the headache, be a part of the solution. Rally for informative sex programs!

those are some pretty harsh remarks celtic. however now that i think about it there is no reason for a woman to be raped. if i was a woman i would rather die then be raped and i would fight to the death to stop it from happening to me.

I do not agree with abortion anymore, not in any case.

If she does have sex, it is wrong for her to have an abortion. However, the male should be forced (by law, if not he will be arrested for 18 years representing the time she will be stuck with the child) to marry her, have a job, and be loyal to her until he dies. He should never divorce her, because indeed the child was a gift from God, and if God decided that she is right for him and is to be the mother of his child, then he cannot go against God's will because if not, a flock of demons will torture him, and when he dies, he will go to Hell for disobeying God.

If the child is conceived by rape, then it is still wrong. A woman could have defended herself, regardless if he held a knife/gun/bomb/grenade/etc to her throat, regardless if she weighed less than 100 pounds and he weighed more than 200. A woman must keep her conceived-by-rape child, and marry the man who raped her, thus the child is not a bästard, and he will be her for eternity. If the woman is terrified of the man, he shall bring her flowers everyday thus she trusts him, and if he rapes her/abuses her/beats her, she must remain quiet, for she must submit to her husband.

When a child is conceived by incest, it should be allowed. The child, however, should be shunned away by society because it was conceived in unnatural form. Both parents should be arrested, and separated to prevent further incest.

A woman who has an abortion illegally must be sentenced to 300 whip lashes, rape by five men, and then in jail for 6 months. Her respect and right to society has been lost, because indeed she is now a declared härlot.

Even those of us using abstinence over birth-control. Birth-control isn't fool-proof. Abstinence is. There has only been one virgin in the history of time to get pregnant.

this is going to sound really strange but it brought about a connection in my mind. if you saw a birds nest with a bunch of broken eggs(not broken because they hatched) in it wouldnt you feel kind of bad for the baby birds in the eggs? i dont see why its not the same thing with a human egg.
