He was to blame for plenty. If nothing else (and there was plenty else -- he was one of the few secretaries who Bush ever bothered to listen to), you have to hate him for his cocky attitude and "the only thing wrong with our occupation of Iraq is the media's portrayal of it" type sound bites.

Despite the joyous celebration occuring in my house right now, I still feel bad for Rummy. he was the scapegoat for a crappy administration. but i'm glad he's out, b/c now he can go and do what he wants.

Mind you his replacement is a reach back from Bush 1 admin. And the nominee has a colorful background including the Iran-Contra Affair.

i got in trouble for mouthing off about him at the chow hall today... some neo-con thats higher ranking than me didn't like it.

I consider it cause for nationwide celebration. Dancing in the streets with champaign wouldn't be too far out of line.
