Monday marked the kick-off of the Democratic National Convention. Get all your convention news at the Democratic Convention homepage. Watch the convention on TV or online. Keep updated with the convention blog. You can even chat live with elected officials. For more election coverage, Storm the Polls with WireTap. And check out this article about the youth and the convention called Youth Issues Take Back Seat at DNC. Monday night’s speakers included Al Gore, Hillary and Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter. Last night, US Senate hopeful Baraq Obama, Theresa Heinz-Kerry, and even Ron Regan (son of Ronald and Nancy) spoke. The 12-year-old founder of Kids for Kerry also had her say up at the podium. Have you guys been watching? Will you watch tonight when John Kerry is set to speak? Do you think the convention is doing a good job of capturing youth interest?

All of the Kerry-bashing can be backed up with straight facts, whereas the Bush-bashers usually have to spin things if not outright lie, as Michael Moore did. Plus, the Kerry side is vastly more negative, running what is basically a hate-campaign that would rival Al Qaeda's. And, if Kerry wins, thus rewarding this kind of technique, expect things to get even worse.
