i'm not going to put my personal choice between the two on here. i just want to hear what people have to say about who they think it should be. if you dislike Hillary, then give reasons why she isn't suited for the position. same for Barack. i don't care about your sad arguments depending solely on gender or color.

Exactly speed.

And now McCain has rolled out his "I was a prisoner of war and I'm so much more patriotic than that other dude" campaign. I very much respect McCain's service record, but I'm sorry being "patriotic" is not one of the main things I look for in a president.

I wish I had more faith in this place, or humanity as a whole, but I have to agree with you. I just wish it was another way.

Depends on how much McCain can capitalize on the "omg he's a black dude and he's a Muslim therefore he much be a terrorist" nonsense.

Well that would just be ridiculous and low. If anyone falls for that, they deserve McCain for president...

I'm afraid I'm not either. If a candidate seems fake, Meg, then not matter what they say their stance on matters is people aren't going to believe them. Leaders have to be able to at least project the image that they are "real."

People voted for clinton just because she's a woman.
Others voted for Barack because he's colored.
Those are the stupidest reasons to vote for somebody.
They are both sexist and prejudicist.

I would like to point out that not everyone judges these two simply based on the fact that one of them is female and the other has a Kenyan father. Take me for example, I plan on voting for Obama because I like his politics, his background, how he's handled himself, etc.

Also, I'm wondering whether the "they are both sexist and prejudicist" was saying Clinton and Obama are or that other people are?

I choose neither.
They both don't seem like good canidits.
People voted for clinton just because she's a woman.
Others voted for Barack because he's colored.

I'd vote for McCain.
Honestly, did you hear Barack's reasoning for gas prices.

if i honesty had to pick i would pick clinton how obama could go to the same pastor for 20 years and not hear how raciest the pastor was is beyond me i think obama is a lair and raciest himself.ps- racism does not have to pertain to african-american it can be towards whites to!!!

The following is really bugging me, so I had to respond:

1. We are not all democrats. I profess to no party and no several people who vote republican, libertarian, for whoever they think will do the best job, etc as well as democrat.
2. I know that oil is a common sentiment over why we're in Iraq, but I don't think that's the sole (if even a plausible reason) why we're there. Let's face it: we, as humans, are quite brilliant at making up reasons to hear what we want, especially when the answer we receive is not enough of a good explanation or does not fit into whatever theories/beliefs we hold. With that said, I have no idea exactly why we're in Iraq, but I don't think we will ever know the full extent behind all the reasons.

As to who I support since I should answer the question: I'm not posting it on-line. Only myself, my ballot, my family, and my friends know and, for me, that's all I feel needs to know. I'm not going to miraculously change someone over to myself, so why bother?
