What is your option on the lowering the voting age? I think that if you are interested enough to want to vote, you should be able to. Also I don't get the fact that you can risk your life and everyone else's by driving a car at 16, yet you can't vote for who should run the country???

16 is a good age to be voting. We can pay taxes (if we work) at that age, and paying to some person we had no choice in electing isn't fair at all. Plus, we can drive at 16, so if we have to obey even more laws (those about driving) we should be able to vote and change them. Plus, from what I've seen there's not much of a difference between 16 and 18 in maturity. Let's face it, some people are just as immature at 40 as 14, but most people are pretty mature at 16- or as mature as 18-year-olds. They won't vote in Madonna or any1 like that.
Drinking age should stay where it is or be raised, cause drinking can cause cancer.

It needs to be lowered. And NASCAR is good. But now its too much bullsh!t about Junior and how NASCAR twists the rules so he can win. I wish he'd have crashed and died instead of his dad. The senior Earnhardt was cool.

I agree with you to some extent. One thing that I find frustrating is that even before eighteen you're allowed to pay taxes if you have a job. My biggest issue with that is that if I'm paying taxes to the gov't I should be able to vote for who I'm paying my taxes to. I agree with whoever said 16 year olds shouldn't be driving!!! I've had my license for two years, but that doesn't necessarily make me an experienced driver. lol.

Voting age should stay where it is. And if anything should be changed, 16 yr olds shouldn't be able to drive.

The drinking age is completley irrelevant to the voting age. At age 18 males can be asked to serve in the Military, so they should be able to vote (And since we believe in equality women should be able to vote at the same age.). At eightenn you can fully participate in government decisions because government action only truely affect people above at the age of 18.

i agree. most adults at the age of 18 dont know why they vote or where their country is located on a map. lowering the age would be madness. drinking age should be lowered to 18 because that is when ou become an adult and all rights shold be applicable then.
