I'm a fan! It allows you to number the candidates in the order that you would vote for them - for example 1) Kerry, 2) Nader, 3) Bush and so forth. It eliminates the hassles of third-party etc. voting because round by round candidates are eliminated, and if your top pick is eliminated, your vote is counted as your next pick. So if, say, you vote for Nader and put Kerry as your #2 choice, once Nader is eliminated and the race is down to Bush and Kerry, your vote counts for Kerry. That way all the well meaning liberals (or conservatives) who vote third party won't have to stress about taking votes from the Democratic or Republican candidates they would have voted for otherwise. It's already being used in Ireland and a couple other countries with great success and I think several states are debating it. Not surprisingly, non-mainstream parties are in support of it. Thoughts?
