Bush said we went because of WMDs but since then there hasn't been much mention of the and now we are saying we went to war with them because Saddam Huissien needed to be taken out of power. This doesn't make sense to me. Will someone clear this up for me?

The world will never know. This is more mysterious than how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie pop.

quote: If Bush was in it for oil, why are gas prices going up?
Why has the pipeline that was suposed to be going through Afghanisten and Iraq not been built?
maybe he wanted to take the oil fields out. He is into oil for a living, and, if the oil prices rise, then he will make more money per barrel. He might want to create a monopoly of the USA over the world's oil fields, and not increase production, so that he can get a greater price due to inflation.

Because we don't care about the oil. I'm not in love with Bush right now, but I will stand up and defend our reasons for going into Iraq.
In fact, the French, Germans, and Russians made deals w/ Saddam, that if they kept the US from going into Iraq through the UN and if they lifted UN sanctions off Iraq, then Saddam would set aside the best oil fields in Iraq for their use.
Let's know the facts before we speak.
So what are you saying is the reason for invading Iraq? It's funny for you to say "let's know the facts before we speak".

Bush is pretty stupid. We went over to IRaq for nothing. We didn't find any "WMD's" so why are we still over there. quote: Originally posted by TotalBushHater: Bush said we went because of WMDs but since then there hasn't been much mention of the and now we are saying we went to war with them because Saddam Huissien needed to be taken out of power. Re: TotalBushHater The only true and clear reason for Bush invading Iraq was for the oil, not because he firmly believes in everyone should have a democracy I mean it's a nice cover-up but it's wrong. If we look at all the facts presented to us through history we'll see that the entire Bush family gained most if not all of its profit through big oil like Haliburton or Exxon-Mobil. It wasn't enough for them to have the gains of the big oil companies if they couldn't control it from the source, the middle-east. Bush-1 tried to ratify the problem in the early 90's and flopped hard, so who better to try and clean up the mess?...Bush-2, and not mention in order for them to have success in what they wanted, why not name Dick Chenney as your VP pick to insure you have a firm control over oil. This war is a war over "black gold" not in the true interest of democracy and freedom.

He also hates muslims, and Saddahm, and other reasons we most certainly will never know about. It was not only the oil.

I completely agree with you!! This is only about oil and he just lied to us so his stocks could go up. And did you know every company or job he's had has failed? Including presidency!

Even though Bush liked to call Kerry a "flip flopper" he should have been tried for the same crime, but in a different context. Bush is not guilty of chaning his mind a lot, he does stick it out when it comes to things like the war on terror, but what he does do is change his story for why they are done. his original name for the war operation was"Operation Iraqi Liberation" aka: O.I.L. I think that says enough
