Why actually? What awful things could Clinton actually do? It's not like America is a dictatorship...

danielleh, you bring up a really good point that I have never really though about. I'm all for women in the White House, but I'm not entirely sure if other countries would respect them enough. I do know, however, that I do not want Hilary Clinton in there. From what I've heard, she has a very manipulative nature and uses it to get what she wants. When her husband was president, she had a huge infleunce on his decisions. My parents have already said we're leaving the country if she gets elected. Another Clinton in the White House makes me very nervous.

Hilary would make a terrible president. I have nothing against a women president, heck, i would love to be one some day.But she's a demorcrat and if your gonna vote that way then then dont vote her in, please, she has experience but that doesn't make her the right choice.

I've decided on John Edwards for my vote. If he's not on the Democratic ticket, then I'm voting Libertarian. And going to live in the woods.

No.
Please, good gracious Goddess no!
Not Hillary Clinton!
Not Condolezza Rice! [I spelled her name right?]
Please.
I am so panicked that when Hillary runs, so many femenists will be jumping to vote for her that she'll actually win. I mean, she's an okay woman, but her political sense is that of a cracknob. And don't us females want the first woman president to rock?

Condolezza Rice. Goddess. She's like an alligator in half-human skin. Eugh. Personally, I see some things being worse than Bush. Condolezza might just turn out to be one of them.

Please, Goddess!

Fame-hunting? All politicians are about fame. I mean, you don't seriously think politicians try to get elected in order to actually help people, do you?

I agree with many that this country has no room for a fame-hunting candidate like Hillary Clinton.

I would never support her!

RICE?! ew, no thanks. It'd probably be just like another bush regime...I'd much rather have Hillary be in there. But, well, more importantly I'd rather see Barack Obama there in about 4 + years!

I hope Condoleeza Rice runs because she would make the best female president possible. Hillary Clinton should not be elected in my opinion. I don't trust her so I wouldn't feel comfortable living in a country run by her. Unfortunately, I can't vote in the next election, so it's up to everyone else to keep her out. I agree with MochaLovesCoffee that it would be awesome to have a president that rises above discrimination, prejudice and anti-lesbian people! This would be a great inspiration to people who are considered different.

Although it would be great to have a female president, I wouldn't want any president that was elected solely because she was a woman, or an African American. I want someone who's chosen because their the right person for the candidate.

But do i think it's possible. Eh . . . I don't think so. Sad, but true.

although history would be made if clinton or rice were elected president or even put up for the position, the race should not be based upon race or gender it should be based upon who is the best person to lead this country.

oh my god, there is so much crap in these last three replies.. Usually someone with a little reason posts to break it up but this is insanity.

First of all, what kind of "drastic" change is it to have a woman or a person of color in the white house? Not like we would be voting for a damn martian, they are still human as well.

Then for the one who apparently hates Hillary but cant be bothered to spell her name right: I recall giving a whole ton of crap to the democrats that said they would move to Canada if Bush was re-elected. Well let me put it to you like this: I'm going to give you a whole bunch of shit too. If you can not accept the democratic process that runs this country please leave now and spare me the doomsday speaches. And that goes for everyone else that would say that. Also as a extremist right winger, because you must be to threaten to move to Canada if Hillary is elected, you might want to just drop off the face of the earth, or move to the middle east, to some arab nation. I dont think your going to find another democracy or republic that allows it's people to vote and still be as conservative as the United States.

And then we have Bambi... Ms. Generalization. First of all Condi is actually a hack, she has no business in government, she needs to go back to her university and stay the hell away from politics.

I don't know much about Condoleezza Rice, but a lot of ignorant republicans i know support her. This lowers her in my opinion, but I'm sure she's better than Bush. I think if I could vote, I would vote for Hilary, she's a strong woman. And women don't start unneccesary wars. I mean, have how often do you hear in the news 'Woman rapes young boy', or 'Woman starts a shooting'?

I will love the false image I had of you.

I think that America has not ever had a black or female presedient becuase it wants to stay traditional but i stongly adhere to change. But the American people are not ready for this drastic change just yet. This to me also shows that America's rights may never be complete which limits the idea of making it feel like a full democaracy. It is not because there are not enough blacks and females in America becuase there are a lot of black people and a lot more females than males in America therefore I see no reason not to put a black or even female president into office.
