I think the idea that there will never be any non white female non Christian in the White House is preposterous. This country is slowly but surely becoming more liberal in its acceptance of people, and even though religion will continue to play a large role in peoples lives, I would like to think that people will understand, at some point, the difference between government and theology. There will, eventually, be a minority in the White House, just as there are minority mayors and representatives.

just because you dont admit something doesnt mean you didnt do it. No one politically has brought up Kerrys drug history (and I'm sorry, but it was the '70s, and alot of people did pot) frankly because no one cares. Like no one cares about Bushs usage of marijuana a long time ago...

We can end this conversation now, I was just stating my reasons for saying something.

Kerry never admitted to smoking marijuana. There is no proof. Has anyone even thought that Kerry was a drug user? I wasn't trying to start a fight about politician drug use (I attack canidates on their platforms). I was only answering your question about the "druggie" thing.

not anymore though. Everyone has skeletons in there closet.

You dont think Kerry did any mary jane during the Vietnam War (after he ran back home and protested with the hippies)? You would be defending him now if he was our president and I said he was an addict, wouldnt you?

Just making my arguement clear.

i think having a woman president would be awesome. I dont know though. The idea sounds so cool. But women think too much with their heart, so they probably wouldnt be as strong of a leader. It really depends on the woman.

Why does it matter if a president is black or white, female or male? If they can get the job done, I think they should be President.

The US selecting a black female President is the biggest bull**** I have ever heard.

In fact, the US selecting a black President alone is bull****.

Republicans nominating a minority?! Are you kidding?? In case you didn't know, close to 90% (or maybe 80%, I don't remembet, but it was really large) of blacks voted for KERRY in the last election. I mean, there's no way the Republicans are going to nominate her. Unless they want to commit political suicide.

A female president would be cool, but I don't think it's going to happen any time soon. There are a lot of racist/sexist/etc people in the US.

Colorblindness please! It doesn't matter what someone looks like or what sex they are! It should only be their qualifictations. And for the record, as a libral, I think that Condi would be the best CONSERVATIVE canidate I've heard about so far. But if she were in the running against a better libral (even if its a white male) I'd vote for him.

It doesn't matter what color they are. I think it would be amazing to have a strong female president. But it would be a plus if they were black.

Will Dr. Rice protect the interests of Americans as Secretary of State or is she currently too close to the Bush Administration? A woman in the white house...thats great. A Jewish Woman in the White House...thats also great. If a woman was elected to the white house it would show that America has progressed in the last 50-60 years.

Precedents are not easily broken. It will be much more likely to have a black male president in the near future than a female prez of any race. It's just how people are. We've had white Protestant guys in the White House for over 200 years (with the exception of a few like Kennedy). It would be hard to break Americans of that preconception that women are unfit to be president.
