quote: george bush is a moran
I wouldn't be saying that if I couldn't spell moron - M-O-R-O-N! Even though I don't like him. quote: I think in truth, most of us have made incredibly stupid statements without even thinking about what we were saying, that we wished we could withdraw immediately. While it is fun to poke fun at every little word he 'misstates', it is probably ultimately a lot more productive and thoughtful to attack, say, his economic plan (or lack thereof), career record, or moral integrity.
But, besides the fact that I'm about 40 years younger than him and have not gone through high school or college, I DON'T make mistakes like that. Sure, I make stupid mistakes like forgetting a word for something when I'm talking to a friend, but not when I'm speaking in front of many people, and I don't say things like "our exports mostly come from other countries" or make up new words. My parents are younger than him and neither of them went to, where, Yale? But they always know what they're talking about. Although I agree that there are many more flaws with his economic plan, career record, and moral integrity.

I had heard most of these quotes before, and my longtime stance on them was feeling sorry for George W. Bush. Not because he is an idiot, just because everything stupid he says is thrust into the spotlight. I think in truth, most of us have made incredibly stupid statements without even thinking about what we were saying, that we wished we could withdraw immediately. While it is fun to poke fun at every little word he 'misstates', it is probably ultimately a lot more productive and thoughtful to attack, say, his economic plan (or lack thereof), career record, or moral integrity.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that almost all of them are Quayle quotes. Bush is still not the sharpest light bulb in the refigerator, if your get my drift. But that's really besides the point, isn't it?
Yes, Bush is a recovering alchoholic who can't speak Englisgh but that doesn't matter. Everyone has minor character flaws like that. People couldn't get enough of the fact that Lincholn was really tall and depressed all the time. Et cetera.
Why not focus on the fact that Bush is an *******?

"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."
The above is actually a Dan Qualye quote, not a Bush one. If you're going to mock someone, do it right.
