Why is the government making gay marriage such a big deal? They are trying to make a amendment saying that gay marriage is illegal..i thought the constitution GAVE rights to people and not took them away. Why is it so wrong for 2 people who love each other to get married? If we make gay marriage illegal...might as well make it illegal for african americans to get married(( or any other minorities)).... For a second, lets put you in their shoes. Lets say it was the other way around. Gay marriage is legal but straight marriage is trying to be made illegal. How would you feel if you couldnt get married to someone you love and would want to spend the rest of your life with? You would probably feel devastated. Well..thats how they feel. The government cant tell you who you can or cant marry. only YOU can decipher that. Gay marriage will be legal someday. Look at womens rights for instance. No one would have ever thought that women would have the right to vote or work like a man. But it happened. Eventually. Gay marriage will be legal... eventually. And for people who are against this cause they think that gay people or homosexuality is gross....thats just close-minded and stupid. Why dont you open up your eyes and realize they are regularr people just like you and me. The only diffrence between a straight man and a gay man is what they want sexually. They have the same feelings and emotions. People have to learn these days, there are people in this world you may not like, but... you have to live and deal with them anyways. Well, im telling you. You might as well live and deal with them...cause they arent going away.

yea i agree, i just have one thing to say to the whole gay marriage thing, straight people have every right to be happy with who they want so shouldnt gays??? i mean its not like there hurting anyone, its like every time someone decides there gay 50 people die, i think its crap that there makin such a big deal of it, its there choice let them do what they want! they wanna be gay good for them, its not the choice i would make but i expect them to respect my choice to be straight so i should respect there choice to be gay just as much as they respect me! i say just let them be happy, we have the right, so shouldnt they?
