I don't agree with parental consent before an abortion. The parents might oppose abortion and if their daughter does not oppose abortion things might get violent. Any woman under the age of 18 should be able to recieve an abortion without having to get parental consent.

I personally have mixed feelings and don't know where I stand in this situation. I guess for me it depends on the circumstance, I don't agree with abortion, but i understand why a young girl would want to get one, and really its up to the individual.

ANYWAY

This subject is complicated because on one hand, a person may not want their parents to know because it might put a strain on the family. But then again, support from family in a situation like that can be really important.
