Who do you people think will be the candidates for President in 2004?

As of right now I believe the democrats will put forth Hillary and the Republicans will put forth Gulianie.

I thought Condoleeza Rice had a very strong character, but, as smile said it, she has had a damaged reputation in recent years.

I would have to say that the Democrats will put forth Hilary Clinton or Obama. Although I don't really like either of them or their views that much. Sad as it might be I don't consider John Kerry or Al Gore out of the running either some people still think there is a comeback on the horizon. For the Republicans I think their best be would be McCain, one reason because he is liked by people in the red and the blue. I'm not sure about Guiliani, maybe maybe not. Last year I would have said Condoleeza Rice but I think the 9.11 commission hurt her reputation some. I would be very happy to see her as the vice presidential nominee though, and I still think that could happen! Smile

Barack Obama is the senator-elect from Illinois. A lot of political analysts are talking about him.

Who is Obama? The name sounds familiar, but I can't quite put a face (or a reputation, more importantly) to the name. I can already safely say that if the whole terrorism thing keeps up 'til then, he won't stand a good chance on name alone.

Clinton's definitely the early favorite for the Democrats, but I hope her support wanes, and she stands no actual chance. I think Barak Obama is somewhat more electable, although I could easily see him meeting a bitter end as well. The Democrat's best bet would probably be Tom Vilsack, Evan Bayh, or some other such Congressmen or governor that only the very politically aware have heard of as of yet.

As for the Republicans, if they were smart, they'd elect McCain in their primaries. But they won't. My money is on Giuliani.

I don't know much about her, but Hillary has certainly made a name for herself in the past few years. However, I really haven't heard much of a reputation. It will be interesting to hear more from her. I personally don't believe she would be strong enough to take on the title of first woman President of the United States. But as I stated earlier, I don't know too much about her or her voting record.

I can see Obama running with Hillary, he is the future of the democratic party.

That's why I think she wouldn't win. She's a female.

The only person who I think will run.. maybe even as vice-pres... will be Hilary CLinton. I've really no other thoughts on it.
