I was actually briefly contemplating today why Nader is even attempting to get into office, and since no reasonable conclusion surfaced, I've decided he's trying to make a point. I don't know how many intelligent people would want to spend millions or so on making a point, but he seems to want to. Kudos to the guy for trying. I guess. No, never mind.

okay guys n' gals...think of it like this. a lot of people are thinking that they'll just vote for nadar because they can't decide from the two, thinking their vote won't count....well, think of it like this, if so many people did that, than that might be enough to get him in...although i think bush will win, just trying to broaden your thinking erm...skills?

*go to my board called "are the candidates truly worthy of dissing" i'm new and i need to argue about something! Big Grin

IMHO, Nader committed political suicide and homicide by refusing to seek the nomination of the Green Party. Nader lost ballot access to 25 states and the Green Party lost a well known standard bearer for the party.

Pat Buchanan committed political homicide by seeking and wining the nomination of the Reform Party, but not before publishing a book on how America backed the wrong side in WW2. His candidacy destroyed the Reform Party. Now he is backing Bush.

Was Nader EVER in the game?

As much as I support most of Nader's policies, I think he's a slimeball for taking away votes from the less evil candidate last year and possibly this year.

I hate that Nader has no chance.

Playing up two main political parties is the worst thing ever. Not everything is so black and white as these two parties are.

Nader had 17% of the vote in the mock election in my school, and one class even supported him with 24%.

I would vote for Bush in the real election only because Nader hasn't got a good chance and I really dislike Kerry. Bush can beat him. Sadly, Nader cannot.

I do support Nader even though I disagree with some things he says. I still think he is the best choice. Bush has stupid views but Kerry is naive and dangerous.

Dude, so did I. But I'm in Texas and my teacher parents didn't vote for him because it might prevent Kerry from winning.

Nader is awesome. I seriously read his policies and they're most like what I believe.

That's really sad. People grow up like that, though. They vote for the person who will give them the most "candy" (ie. tax cuts exc.) not who will be the most capable presidnet for our nation. The only problem is Nader only has 1.3% of the vote, so he is just taking votes that could be used to decide the election, which is going to be a national disaster if it remains this close. If tensions run any higher, there might be rioting.

We're having an inschool electron run by the Civic's classes in my school. Shockingly, Nadar is winning, with Kerry close behind.

We had this little vote thing at our school, where we got to vote. I voted for Nader, but only 32 people voted for him in the whole school! Ahhh...I really wish he would win. Im sick of people making fun of bush and Kerry braging about his purple hearts.

Yep, Nader (unfortunatly) stands no chance. A vote for Nader is a vote for the opposing component. (In my case, Bush) Raaaar

Today I heard that he was taken off the ballot in Pennsylvania. Is this true?

Not entirely sure, cause this is from a few weeks ago, but I don't think Nader's on the Ballot where I live. People petitioned or something to get him taken off since our state is a swing state. (Something like that. Toxic or ToeTrench may know more.)

According to some polls I saw, Nadar has about 1% of the votes, which Kerry does indeed need.
But he is on the ballot Bahauhaus. I know that because I requested an early ballot and he was there. I already voted, I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to make it to vote or that it would just be to hectic that day.

Yeah, and sadly, Kerry needs that dust. Seriously, just decide whether you dislike Bush or Kerry more, and vote for the other one.
