In just a few days, Congress will decide on a Constitutional amendment which would ban gay marriage.

Congress is probably going to revisit the issue in June. However, many republican senators do not support such an amendment. It is extremely unlikely that anything will happen as a result.

I know, but I don't care, I went through all the old posts last night. I didn't realize it would go to the top of the list, sorry.

Well *******. You seeing that there is a TEEN in eightteen YOU shouldn't be talking about this either.

And if those things effect our lives, we should be allowed to talk about it.

Hmm...this is quite interesting. Which is more important to you, the "we should be allowed to talk about it" stance, or the "teens shouldn't have a say stance"?

Your writing is that of one individual that is most contradictory.

You see, the reason this site exists is so that teens can interact and have their voice heard.

Perhaps that's why the site in entitled "Youth Noise". Things are not as black and white as you label them. The reason teens can't vote is because *some* are quite ignorant and can lead to bad decision making. That does not make the entire group a bunch of morons. As a matter of fact, if you found the right one, you could actually have an intelligent conversation with one.

Now I hate to send the queen to hell, but thank you for your viewpoints. They will be put in the category of "You can't tell me I am wrong, because I don't want to hear it." Tough cookies, my sweet queen. Don't ever forget that this country is about freedom of speech. This is not a country that denies another freedom of speech due to age. Therefor, you can expect plenty of teenagers to make their viewpoints crystal clear.

Now let's get down to the nitty gritty of your statement.

quote:
It's wrong, whether the bible says so or not.

Don't forget that that is your opinion. All humans have opinions. That does not make them fact. Now, if you meant this as your opinion, I could not tell, as you put

But in my opinion...

I don't pick one side that I think is right. I picked the side that I know is right. Duh.

You're perfectly right, catrine. It just took me a while to read it.

So they should marry someone they are not in love with? Your statement sounds a litle bit contradicting.

What the American Government is doing is absolutely disgusting! People should be allowed to love whomever they want. So what if one or two people don't like it. America is about freedom! So what if the it goes against the bible. Laws are not supposed to be based or built upon religion. FIRST AMENDMENT!!!!!!!

Well I'm sorry, then. I thought you were serious. And it was intended to be more of a suggestion, either way. Newbies are allowed low tolerance on YN, though I try to be more helpful to them.
