quote: have you been in iraq?
Have you? How do you know how bad it is over there? How do you know it is worse because of us? ("Because some guy on TV said so?") Sorry about that, but you shouldn't shoot at passersby if they have guns. (shouldn't throw stones if live in glass house) quote: we're in iraq because bush wanted oil
How do you suppose he get it? The pipeline F911 (i.e. Michael Moore) gave as his only reason for war never existed. Also, if our supply is getting bigger now why are gas prices still rising? If we wanted oil we would've taken it already, in spite of opposition, because we aren't looking to others for permission at this point. We are in Iraq and can't leave yet. quote: They need stable water supplies, food, and safe roads.
...which is why we are still there. We are the only keeping them from total anarchy. That is why we cannot leave yet.

You got that right...
And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"

The Iraqis don't need computer labs in schools. They need stable water supplies, food, and safe roads.

The news does a good job about telling all the things were doing wrong in Iraq. But the media never tells all the good were doing over there. The media never talks about the internet lab in the high school the GIs hooked up. The media never talks about the power plants we got back into operation. I guess it just doesn't sell magazines and papers huh? And America has faults. The Falconist Party wouldn't exist if America had no faults. Our movement seeks to correct those faults as well as to build a better world.

ahh but praetor, it is not so simple. Look into it deeper, America has it's faults and it's not like we're doing good. We're killing many innocent people that dont deserve to be killed. Some of us are torturing prisoners for information...now, is that really as brave and valient as it seems to be? NO!

Praetor, believe it or not, THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND THE UNITED STATES!

We are in Iraq because Saddam Hussein had to go, plain and simple. He was going to manufacture WMDs to use against us, he was going to strike back at the USA, he murdered one million of his own people, and he was a world nuisance.
And we shouldn't stop with SH. We should go after the Islamist regimes in Iran and Sudan the social nationalist regime in Syria, Quadaffi in Libya, Castro in Cuba, Kim Il Jong in Korea, the Saudi Monarchy in Saudi Arabia and the military junta in Burma. We should take them all out.
And we should never leave Iraq and A-Stan. In fact, we should incorparate these nations as U.S. Territories, rebuild them, and then admit them into the union as US States.

I assume you meant me. And it's not that I didn't like it. It's just at the point where all the abortion posts should die for a few weeks. (And people WILL still comment on it.) So. Iraq. I'd like to add on to bella's topic and ask what people THINK we're in Iraq for.
