This was just brought to my attention, and I'm not sure what I think about it. Does anyone know anything about the Real ID Act? Here's an article about it.

And, also to think about, what happens to name or sex changes. Will it always be one way in the computers.. or can it even change? If anyone has information on that I'm all ears.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Homeless people wont be able get medicaid anymore? You can't use PRIVATE companies? What the hell ever happened to states' rights and conservative pushes for smaller government? Not to sound like a conspiracy nut here, but seriously, how far off are "Minority Report"-like personal trackers? I don't have anything to hide either, but I think that the more the power over a people is conglomerated, the easier it is to abused.

What? How did that get past everyone?

Anyways, it doesn't really bug me that much. As big as I am on privacy and such, I don't have anything to hide. And getting a national ID doesn't bother me at all. On the bright side, no having to reapply for your driver's license every time you move to a different state!

This might be completely off topic here, but this reminded me about the mark of the beast. You know, how you're not allowed to do much or move around if you don't have it. Weird thought there for a minute...
