There is a deal that if you have gang tattoos that cannot be covered up by clothes you can get them removed for free. This is funded with tax payer money. good idea or bad idea? explain.

Im against taxes and all that. But I see it this way, we spend money on cops to keep gangs under control or break them up. Why not fund tattoo removal for (ex)gang memebers. I think it just helps fight the gang war.

The problem as I see it is this: Whom decides what is and isn't a gang tattoo. Obviously some are more apparent than others, but who's to say that my tattoo of a potato isn't a moniker that I'm an OG killer? This is a waste of money.

can't say that i think it is an appropriate use of tax payer money but if there were private donations to that kind of a program i think it would be good.

I think its a good idea, but its just too much of a waste of tax money. We are already several trillion dollars in debt, why do we need to be using money for this that could be used for something more useful?
