Much of Indy Media is very socialist/communist, but I've come to find it as a very useful tool in spreading my county's news and information to the entire world North Texas/Dallas: http://www.ntimc.orgAustin: http://austin.indymedia.orgHouston: http://houston.indymedia.orgDoes anyone go to any Indy Media sites, or post stories and stuff? If ya do, or if you have a favorite Indy Media Centre (IMC) site, post it.

I mostly watch Fox News for my main news, but I do read one of my area's newspapers - all of which are extremely liberal - daily and, when I can get it, the Washington Times, which is very conservative. I also try to read some foreign stuff as often as I can, usually online. So, I guess I get news from pretty diverse sources. The internet makes it all reasonably easy..

Did anyone see the John Kerry/CBS/ABC/NBC rally coverage where people were holding up the "CNN IS BAD NEWS" signs? Ha, I loved it. I agree, it would be more beneficial to have something like IMC up and running than it would to just follow ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN, etc. blindly. I watch Fox News whenever I can, and I mainly keep my dial on ABC (I dont have cable or satellite, but wanna get DirecTV), but it's to get more of a broad-based coverage thing than anything ...I read the rival newspapers more than my own, because Franklin said we should keep our competitors closer

What I do is try to find all the different types of medias, both right and left.. then i think on my own and create the gray area. Its called the truth. If you only believe one side and never listen to the other, you are just as bad as the side you dont like.
