I've been watching the polls like a hawk for a couple months now, and I can say with certainty in at least 43 of the states that this is what we're gonna see tonight: Bush:Alabama - 9 votesAlaska - 3 votesArizona - 10 votesArkansas - 6 votesColorado - 9 votesGeorgia - 15 votesIdaho - 4 votesIndiana - 11 votesIowa - 7 votesKansas - 6 votesKentucky - 8 votesLouisiana - 9 votesMississippi - 6 votesMissouri - 11 votesMontana - 3 votesNebraska - 5 votesNevada - 5 votesNew Hampshire - 4 votesNew Mexico - 5 votesNorth Carolina - 15 votesNorth Dakota - 3 votesOhio - 20 votesOklahoma - 7 votesSouth Carolina - 8 votesSouth Dakota - 3 votesTennessee - 11 votesTexas - 34 votesUtah - 5 votesVirginia - 13 votesWest Virginia - 5 votesWisconsin - 10 votesWyoming - 4 votesOverall Bush: 274 votesKerry:California - 55 votesConnecticut - 7 votesDelaware - 3 votesFlorida - 27 votesHawaii - 4 votesIllinois - 21 votesMaine - 4 votesMaryland - 10 votesMassachusetts - 12 votesMichigan - 17 votesMinnesota - 10 votesNew Jersey - 15 votesNew York - 31 votesOregon - 7 votesPennsylvania - 21 votesRhode Island - 4 votesVermont - 3 votesWashington - 11 votesWashington, D.C. - 3 votesOverall Kerry: 265 votesSo, I believe Bush will win by a hair. If I'm wrong (which I hope to God I am), I'm wrong in Florida, Hawaii, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and/or Wisconsin. And if I hit it dead on, one of you owes me a dollar.

Just think, this is the first time Bush has won an election...
And I don't know about a riot quite yet. I'd say start off using the Ghandi/MLK,JR philosophy of doing non-violent protests and passive resistence. ...then if it doesn't work out. Switch to the Malcolm X way of life...
Or something like that.

I am so pissed off at this country right now. We voted for our bloody doom. I guess this means 4 more years of Bushisms. ARRRG. And like what, 9 states with amendments banning gay marriage. What is wrong with these people? No Bushism today. I'm in mourning.

Well, I was right about WI. But I feel no satisfaction. I feel... Emotionless. Completely drained.

Aguagon was right about Bush. He finished with 274 electoral votes. Good call Agua.

31 to 20 (counting D.C.) states voted Bush. Only three states gave Kerry a 60% or above in popular vote while 14 did so for Bush. Just the facts, y'know? quote: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Sen. John Kerry calls President Bush to concede presidential election, CNN has learned.

Please explain this to me. I am trying to make myself believe I am bad at English.
It involves the 130,000 votes - which is not close enough for a recount. It would've just made Kerry look like Gore. Bush won anyway, both times, recount or no recount. A riot wouldn't change that, y'know?

Let me be the first to say (and yes a LOT of you will not agree with this but who cares) PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS!!!! What do they want? Everyone to be one big happy family? There are MANY types of families, not just ones with a mother, a father, 2 children, a house in the suburbs and a white picket fence. THIS IS NOT THE FIFTIES ANYMORE! THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY! Ergh!

Saaweeet victory!!!! It was hard fought, for the most part, but in the end the good guy prevailed. Hey Aguagon, I told you my great state of Ohio would not fail me. We are too reasonable to vote for Kerry. Bush and his father are the last two presidents to receive over 50% of the national vote. The country is more united than it was 4 years ago. Just to put the cherry on the top of a great night, Republicans gained spots in both the Senate and the House! Man, this is a great, great day. I can't wait to see the many liberals in my very liberal Cuyohoga County start pouting. It will be great. Go Bush!

I am drained. I haven't had one minute of sleep. I was up all night watching the elections. I was up all night cheering every time Kerry got a state. Then I was up just hoping he would get Ohio. Now here I am with no energy to be angry about his defeat. I wanted to be angry, I wanted to be very upset. But I think I'll save that energy so that I don't pass out and fall flat on the keyboard.

i can't believe Bush won,I believed Kerry was going to win. When I came to school in the morning I knew Bush was ahead. I just kept hoping that when I got home I would learn that Kerry won, but a couple minutes ago i walked into study hall and the tv was turned to CNN. Kerry was giving his concession speech. So know I am upset but mostly angry. I am kinda of angry at Ohio right now.I can't believe that america elected Bush for four more years! Its going to be a long 4 years.

Yeah Bush almost definetely won. There's almost no doubt, unless there's a miracle for Kerry. His campaign staff said they're very confident that he's already taken the election, although Ohio hasn't been counted yet.

I recommend joining it...or better yet, leading it. Anyway, I can tell we're both exhausted, as you typed 'extradordinarily' and it took me about a half hour to work out what percentage of Ohio's remaining votes needed to go to Kerry for him to win.

My school is EXTRADORDINARILY liberal and the majority of the student body supports Kerry. I fear for a riot.

So in the end, all I got wrong from my original prediction was Florida, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin. Not too bad. And I don't want to go to school either, especially considering I haven't slept...at all.
