Okay, well this may be a little of topic but I have a sort of weird question about our government. Most of the leaders we've had have been Christians and have said that publicly. An dI'd have to say that at least 1/2 of them started wars or joined in them. This is completely against their religion!!!

Let's see... first of all, Congress declares war, not the president. The president decides how to move the troops, but congress decides where the funding goes. Secondly, we have had 44 presidents (Obama included.) and have not started/joined 22 wars. So your arbitrary accusation of 1/2 the presidents starting wars is inaccurate.
Next! Let's examine wars that have been started/joined by US presidents (besides Bush b/c we all know that.) (this is in no order then in what I can think of off the top of me head.)
WWI and II, Spanish-American War, Mexican-American war, civil war, revolutionary war (if ya count it) Vietnam/Korea, and Desert Storm. (Could throw in Afghanistan war, but it was started by the same president so it doesn't solidify your claim.)

Which of these (except the Iraq war) are you against?

Also, have you ever read the Bible? Where do you see the commandment to never go to war? The Old Testament is FILLED with wars (Moses himself killed an Egyptian, if I remember) Of course, it's not encouraged in the Bible, but war is necessary at times. (Note, I'm not defending current wars going on, but I am pointing out having a completely pacifism will hand the world to those not afraid to commit violence.)

Seems like you're one of those who doesn't know Christianity but would like to try to call it hypocritical anyways. It's a pretty popular ideology right now.

that's why religion is such bullshit. it makes people extremely biased to a point where you just can't reason with words you have to reason with actions. which i believe is unacceptable in this day and age.

It's weird how we have so much technology and people in general still think like those 1000 years ago. pathetic.

it's not necessarily against their religion. in the past christians have started wars and no one has strongly argued against it. The Crusades were holy wars, wars started because people strongly wanted to keep their religion. and so i ask you: is a war still wrong if it is in the name of one's religion?

So do we just ignore the little part of the bill of rights that says seperation of church and state?

I just don't want us to turn into Iran.

the question of how a christian leader can justify going to war can be answered in two ways, both with merit. firstly you assume that christian docterine always opposses war...this is simply not true; note Thomas Aquinas' Just war theory; this is just some christian justification for war. in addition you must question the sincerity of religious faith, and must examine exterior motives especially in american politics; for as you correctly state almost all the leaders are christian...it is a vote winner!!!
