Also, if you really want to do a petition right...you need to get official forms and get actual signatures of registered voters in your state. Good luck with your attempt!

Wouldn't it be more important to find people in your community/State that are at least 18? I know in my state, you have to be 18 to sign petitions, or at least ones that concern getting things on ballots, and I don't think your Governor cares what Joe Shmoe in Alabama thinks about gay marriage, since state law doesn't affect him.
