I am an abid listener of the Savage Nation, and today he made a great point about John Kerry. John Kerry has spent the last two years tearing this country apart. Through his lies, false plans, and misconceptions, are country is on the brink of a political civil war(Republicans vs Democrates).

Even with Kerry's loss, the liberal media is trying to extend the tear. They are trying to discount voters and the convictions for which they voted. The left has called voters stupid at one point. Morals at this time are what hold this country together. Personally, I believe Bush is stronger on all spectrums so I think it's about time that the Democrates accept their loss.

Sorry I didn't notice this sooner, WhackOff. Here's my response again, since you obviously didn't read it the first time:

I would rather see my nation divided and crumbling than compromising the freedoms of its people.

You and I have two very different outlooks. I believe in protecting freedom. You believe in blindly protecting the state, regardless of whether it is right or wrong. Quit blubbering about "unity". If you honestly give a fig about uniting our country, you'll do as northstar so astutely said and come join the liberals.

But...I have come back, back to take on the misconceptions of you, the mislead youth of America with nothing but the truth. The veterans know me, and those who don't should fear me. I'M A DIFFERENT KIND OF REPUBLICAN.

President Bush has made a mistake. Yet, he did correct that mistake. He liberated Iraq and Afghanistan, he has contained nearly 90% of Al; Quieda, he has defeated the lying piece of sh!t that was John Kerry, he overcame all odds to win this election, he has captured Saddam, he has brought this economy out of a noise dive from the results of Clinton and 9/11, but most of all, he has defeated the problems of America...the Democrates.

Republicans have done the impossible, they have done, what should've been done years ago and that is take control of this nation. Republicans have been saving this country for years and cleaning up the mess of Democrates:
-Eisenhower: Ends the Korean War
-Nixon: Ends Vietnam(started by Kennedy)
-Regan: Ends the Cold War
-Bush: succeeds where Clinton fails, goes where Clinton fears to go
-Schwarrzeneger: cleans up the mess of Gray Davis

The greatest illustration of the end of the Democrates can be seen in Zell Miller. He hates Democrates even though he is one himself. This just shows how Democrates are losiong support from their own party and the public itself. It really says something when Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and John Kerry are the pillars of your party.

Hell yeah! Now thats a true Republican!

Roll Eyes It's quite the opposite actually. Look at one of the times of greatest unity we've seen recently: the period directly after 9-11. Wasn't that unity wonderful, you say? Shouldn't we strive to be like that again? Of course not; you'd be an imbecile to say so. We were blinded by our unity and we ended up forfeiting some of our most basic freedoms! That should never happen again. This nation needs dissent. We've already seen what can happen without it.

I think that for many people with the war and the crazy stuff that has been going on, people are really retreating back to the basics, moral values. I think that people are so freaked out that they are just going back to what they know. this is really scary. It is imperitive that we keep the seperation of church and state alive in this country. Moral issues are important, but for goodness sake, they shoudn't be everything, hello? doesn't policy matter any more. Do people not know what is going on in the world?

We as Americans are the rason this country is in a downward spiral. Democrates, Republicans, Independents, blame them all. Unity is the answer and we should share this burden of evil which has plagued this world, the burden of terrorism and oppression.

There will most definately be dire consequences. And the Republicans can blame themselves, because they are the ones who believe in enforcing freedom in other countries while destroying it here at home.

Kerry's loss is the nation's loss. I approve of a certain ancient Roman saying: "Caviat emptor,"
"Let the buyer beware!" in this case

I will never unite with the Republican party in this country. For the reasons uptown just listed, and more. If it means four years of gridlock, so be it. Anything to keep Bush from furthering his moronic agenda.

A friend of mine wrote this.

quote:
If your'e voting Bush because of values, I'm dying to know what your values are. If you support Bush that means that you value...

-You value the disregard for the consitution of the United State of America

-You value obstruction of your privacy rights

-You value the ownership of america's media by corporate monopolies

-You value tax breaks for the highest-paying CEOs in corporations

-You value conflicts of interest among your elected officials

-You value the destruction of decades of environmental protection legislation

-You value the responsibility of the taxpayers to clean up toxic waste left by private corporations in Superfund sites

-You value logging practices in national forests that induce wildfires by going against scientific evidence about the effects of such logging

-You value government agencies that lie to the american people about effects of pesticides, natural resource depletion, war, wmds, and terrorism.

-You value making the budget of the military nearly three times larger than the combined budgets for Education for our children, Health care for our familes and elderly, protection and management of our natural resources, our nationwide transportations systems, and agriculture.

-You value the idea that 1 in 5 American children live in poverty

-You value lowered taxes, despite claiming to support government programs that help our families, elderly, and children

-You value the fact that 45 million americans live without healthcare, among these are 1/9th of all working families

-You value every minute in the war in Iraq, where the funds to support that minute could be used to pay full salary and benefits for a year for 15 Registered Nurses

-You value every hour in Iraq, the financial equivalent of 20 new schools

-You value every day in Iraq, one single day of which could have elminated all financial cuts to Education programs at all levels, nationwide

-You value a military industrial complex where the cost of a single stealth bomber is the financial and apparently the moral equivalent of 38000 (yes, thirty-eight thousand) elementary school teachers

-You value the knowledge that $20 billions of our national budget could be, but isn't, used to finance the entire military of Germany or eliminate permanently all starvation and malnutrition worlwide, forever

-You value the knowledge that $1 billion (.3%) of our national budget could, but isn't, used to provide 30 million children worldwide with vaccinations necessary to prevent debilitating diseases

-You value that America's sons and daughters serving in the military are now stationed in 156 different countries, creating American influence in 81% of the world.

-You value election fraud, electronic voting machines with no paper trail, and disenfranchising voters in swing-states based on race

-You value the integration of Church and State with no regard for the first amendment

-You value men's right to decide when and if women should be pregnant or have access to abortions

-You value taking away the rights of religious minorities by sanctioning school prayer and the pledge of allegiance

-YOu value making people who do not fit your heteronormative standards second-class citizens

-You value killing children, the unfortunate victims of the war on terror

-You value supporting Israel, one of the largest centers for terrorist activity in the Middle East and the world as a whole

-You value dependency on foreign oil, while domestic and environmentally-friendly alternatives exist

-You value supporting Saudi Arabia, one of the largest abusers of human rights in the middle east, particularly the rights of women

-You value disregard for international law, due process, and the international courts regarding warfare and the rights of prisoners of war

-You value the right of the current administration to hold citizens accused of terrorist acts indefinitely without trial, despite it being a constitutionally-protected right

-You value cuts to education that raise class sizes, cut teachers, and let our schools crumble

-You value the right of corporations to avoid taxation by moving their corporate headquarters overseas

-You value the right of American corporations to export jobs to India and other countries in order to save money on wages and health care benefits

-You value the illegal idea that workers do not have the right to unionize

-You value tax breaks for the wealthy, but not for the lower class

-You value the installation of puppet regimes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Haiti, and others

-You value the hypocrisy of attacking countries for producing nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons; while remaining the country with the largest stockpiles and largest production of any other

-You value corporations that break promises and elected officials that bend over to them when they do, like Xcel Energy with the State of Minnesota deciding that they didn't have to respect their promise to Minnesota to close the Prairie Island nuclear facility when temporary storage on teh Mississippi River reached capacity; instead demanding that the legislature increase storage, placing the entirety of all people living downstream at risk of death and millenia of nuclear contamination in the event of a terrorist attack or nuclear meltdown

-You value eliminating foreign aid to countries that provide birth control, pregnancy counciling, abortions, and sex-ed to children and adults; therefore raising teen pregnancy rates, the rates of rape and molestation of children and the increase in the number of those infected with AIDS/HIV in third world countries

-You value pulling out of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty (a treaty that created some thirty years of stability and world tranquility) in order to launch STAR WARS and enabling every other country in the world to subsequently pull out and start producing missiles

-You value not signing the Kyoto Protocal, despite the US being the largest polluter in the world

-You value the reintroduction of DTT into the equatorial world, despite its' being a known carcinogen and teh cause of the near extinction of hundreds of bird and animal species in the United States

-You value the World Trade Organization's right to decide that we have to buy products from nations regardless of our concerns with their governments, production practices, or quality

-You value teh authority of NAFTA to supercede national law and to abuse the human rights of workers in Mexico

And most of all, you would rather value dominion over the earth and its people than peace and harmony with it all.

Fine, go ahead and vote your values. But just make sure you know what those values are.

-----"""If you haven't noticed, this country is realizing that we were founded on morals, not lack thereof."""

Morals, morals, morals. This is why people are saying they voted for Bush. It's sad that they think being predjudiced and narrowminded is being moral.

Wow. Most people don't like it that there are fewer than three major political parties; Savage is complaining that there is more than one. I suppose asking to have more than one option in a democratic election is asking way too much...

Oh Please. Could you guys please stop *****ing and whining and the "liberal media" this, and the "horrible republicans" that? Seriously. Im tired of hearing people say "the left did this", "the right is evil". (savage, do you really think that half of our people would call all votors dunb? mor likely it was just one mad person whose word got highly publicised.)The two main parties in our country are a lot more than just two one-sided entities. not all democrats have the same views, and not all republicans do either. I'm sick and tired of you people both on the left and the right. basing your arguments on broad generalizations and buzzwords. Its complete bs that any one person could be blamed for any significant fraction of our problems, let alone all of them. In order for an politician to get anywhere of importance on the political ladder, he or she had to be able to twist words and shake hands and kiss peoples butts. therefore, but Kerry and Bush have probably done tons of things that arent morally right. I didnt think Kerry was the best candidate, (i personally like dean as he was more blunt and honest, but then, he didnt get very far on that, did he?) But i would much rather have his as president than the one who is sitting in the oval offivre right now. You do not tear apart a country by having a strongly dissenting voice and by attacking the people in power. you make the counrty stronger by forcing to deal woth its problems. if whole system can be destroyed by a group of people voicing an opposing veiwpoint, then that sysytem wasnt worh having in the first place. I blame Bush for a lot of things, but i dont blame the whole republican party for what has happened nor do i blame him simply for the party to which he belongs. I blame him because i believe that he, as and individual, has screwed us all over in lot of ways, to many to even describe. I disagree with the way that he thinks on a fundamental basis, it ids not just one thing. I believe in the basics of our constitution, and i believe that Bush has violated parts of it, even if he thinks that what he has done will balance it all out by making something else even better. Disagree with me all you want, but i have read a lot of books, articles, op-ed peices (from bnoth sides), heard a lot of arguments either way, and i have come to the only conclusion that is logical to me.
