Question:
If you can vote (or could vote) is your vote in anyway influenced by celebrities? In this election many celebrities are voicing their opinions and support for a certain candidate. Does this or would this have any influence on how you vote?

Choices:
NO
YES

This DaHood guy has pretty much got you beat on all fronts: he's worse at typing than you, he's younger than you, he's more biased than you, he's less capable of answering a non-partisan question without resorting to petty name-calling than you...concede, man. The new king is here.

*snorts, pats you on the back approvingly* That was great. And, in case you're wondering, no, I am not being sarcastic.

No, celebrities dont influence me... I think they are leading such disastrous personal lives that i dont want them to influence me in any way... Like, you can only count on your fingers the number of married celebrities who stayed together for centuries. Most celebrities today dont even last two weeks or something. Also, the way they dress are too revealing plus most singers are nbad influences to children and teens (e.g. Britney, Eminem...and many others) ALso, i may envy J.Lo's body but still i do love my own body and plus, she will never influence me coz she is so picky with husbands and i could also predict her future: She will never get married if she keeps changing her mind and her current lover too often.
I think the only celebrity who has influenced me is Princess Diana... she may not be an actress but she certainly is a celebrity icon who has a kind heart and therfore, she exceeds and ranks highest among all the celebrities i know. Big Grin

Its not just celebrities who influence. At all, they would probably lean my opinion elsewhere.

I still want to know why you consider Kerry a hippie, Da Hood. He really DOES not seem like a hippie, or at least what I perceive hippies to be like.

I TRY not to be influenced by anyone, but sometimes (like if you're the only pacifist and sitting in the middle of the classroom while they're talking about the war) it's kinda hard.

Wow. I'm sorry, Red, but you're just not the king anymore. This DaHood guy has pretty much got you beat on all fronts: he's worse at typing than you, he's younger than you, he's more biased than you, he's less capable of answering a non-partisan question without resorting to petty name-calling than you...concede, man. The new king is here.

Anyway, to answer your question, Lucky, I would have to say that it depends on the celebrity. If it's a celebrity I respect for reasons other than their career (for example, if they are passionate, well-researched activists for a cause), then yes, I am more likely to be swayed by them. Celebrities in general have a way with people, and if I think most of the more intelligent celebrities would make excellent politicians.

Anyway, in conclusion, in anyone else a little bit alarmed that DaHood can spell "influenced" and "traitor", but not "the" or "liar"?

And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"
