It's really very simple: Clinton let Al Qaeda grow. This was wrong of him, but to his credit, I don't think he could begin to fathom how wrong it was, because nobody really suspected a tragedy like 9/11 could occur until it did.

When Clinton left office, he passed a warning on to Bush that the Al Qaeda terror threat was growing. Now, if Bush was the hero Red and NuShoes like to portray him as, Bush would have grumbled a few insults at Clinton and immediately gotten to work on the matter. But, as Richard Clarke was non-partisan enough to point out, he did no such thing. He established an anti-terrorism committee for show, which, by September 11, had never met once. He, like Clinton, simply didn't take it too seriously. Once again, I don't think too much blame can be placed on him for this, because even the concept that something like 9/11 could happen shocked everyone.

The thing to focus on is how Bush reacted after 9/11. He started out right on track, and then he veered way off-course.

And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"

Hmmm... proof? Or is this above the comprehension all republicans? Ever heard of Dick Clarke, honey? Who talked about how the Bush administration was warned about the attacks before they happened? Maybe youd rather go out on some tangent about Vietnam...

By the way, Im sure you all read the article about the report about how there is no evidence of Iraqi weapons stockpiles? It can be found here. Hmmmm....

Compassionate conservatism is an oxymoron. Bush is just a moron.

"when palistinians psychos fly a few planes into downtown NYC"

Oh wait, that already happened. And Bush was in the White House? Did you not hear? Like the biggest event of the century? The event that has an anniversary TOMORROW? Except for the palestinian part, all that happened. Hmmm...

Kerry's the worst guy the Democrats could have run, save for a few other lunatics like Dianne Feinstein. I'd sooner support Al Sharpton than John Kerry. Joe Lieberman, although I disagree with him on about 80% of things, had a clue and good leadership qualities, and I would have considered voting for him over Bush. But Kerry only knows flip-flopping. And, frankly, with the direction the Democrats have taken the last several years, I'm having trouble supporting any of them (except for Zell Miller), because you don't just elect a president; you elect his entire staff and cabinet.

I don't know. I was thinking what a hippie looked like as well when I was typing my response last night, so I can't tell you. I really don't care if he is or not, or what. GVL4LIFE told me to tell him Kerry didn't look like a hippie, so I did.

Someone made a comment about Kerry talking, and yeah, I can see (and believe) that more than the drugs.

I take a journalistic writing class at a college near where I live, and there's this Republican kid in my class, and we got in this huge argument about gay marriage on the first day, and he hates me now. He sits on the other side of the room from me, and the TV was on in the background, tuned to FOX, and he was watching it, and it showed this poll about Kerry and Bush, and Bush was in the lead. So he yells my name across the room and points to the TV, and smiles all smugly, like I'm pro-Kerry. I'm not. I hate Kerry. I hate Edwards. I just hate Dick and Bush more. It's stupid to think that just because I'm liberal, I'm going to support the Democratic presidential candidate. And, anyway, if he takes polls on FOX at face value, he's got more problems than just being Republican.

When the president talks to god are the conversations brief or long? Does he ask to rape our women's rights and send more farm kids off to die? Does God suggest an oil hike when the president talks to god?

Precisely. You can offend someone much more effectively if you do it subtley instead of swearing at them. It takes skill to pull off a good insult, while no brains at all to swear.

I hope that our little n00b will someday learn, but I doubt it. (Hint-hint, this is your queue n00b to prove me wrong and learn how to spell and insult properly.)

Amen. It's kind of sad. He calls us all f-ckers, laughs hysterically, and presumes we're deeply offended. Someday, I hope he'll come to understand that the offensiveness of one's comment depends not on how dirty a word they use, but rather is inversely proportionate to how big an assbag they are.

There's a much better pic of Bush on another board somewhere. He looks like a monkey in it. For that Kerry one, you just got him talking to somebody.

No clue. I'm a hippie though. And damned proud.
