Inauguration Day, Thursday, January 20th, 2005 is Not-One-Damn-Dime-Day in America.
On Not-One-Damn-Dime-Day those who oppose what is happening in our name in Iraq can "speak up" through a 24-hour national boycott of all forms of consumer spending.
During Not-One-Damn-Dime-Day, please don't spend money. Not one damn dime for gasoline. Not one damn dime for necessitiesor for impulse purchases. Not one damn dime for religious donations. Not one damn dime for anything for 24 hours.
The object is simple. Remind the people in power that the war in Iraq is immoral and illegal; that they are responsible for starting it and that it is their responsibility to stop it. Not-One-Damn-Dime-Day is to remind them, too, that they work for the people of the United States of America, not for the international corporations and K Street lobbyists who represent the corporations and funnel cash into American politics.
Not-One-Damn-Dime-Day is about supporting the troops. The politicians put the troops in harm's way. Now 1,200 brave young Americans and (some estimate) 100,000 Iraqis have died. The politicians owe our troops an important plan - a way to come home.
There's no rally to attend. No marching to do. No left or right wing agenda to rant about. On Not One Damn Dime Day you take action by doing nothing. You open your mouth by keeping your wallet closed. For 24 hours, nothing gets spent, not one damn dime, to remind our religious leaders and our politicians of their moral responsibility to end the war in Iraq and give America back to the people.
Please share this with as many people as you can.

Wasn't Saddam Hussein murdering millions of turks illegal? But I guess you overlooked that.
Wasn't food for oil illegal? The UN at its best!
Didn't Bill Clinton begin plans with an oil company to build a pipeline through the Middle East? Ohhhh, must of overlooked that one too.
Didn't John Kerry get a majority of his inheritance from the illegal sale of Opium in China in the 1800s that ultimately led to the Opium Wars? $$$
Wasn't suicide bombing illegal? Ahhhh, Arafat's army.
Didn't Saddam Hussein payoff Palestinian suicide bombers? No Money No Boom Boom
I don't believe are strategies or the way of going about this conflict was handled correctly yet I do believe that there is justification in Iraq. Bush has screwed up. But for you, the extremist lefty, to tell us, the American public (liberals and conservatives alike) to follow your scheme of protest that will most likely have no affect is BS. Get a life and get an actual voice.
St13245, you are totally my idol now!

No I do believe they're referring to the corruption in the oil for food program, as well as the problems with oil smuggling. Those were illegal.

OK, I HATE this war, and hate Bush for it. I find it out to be a war created out of a lie, or rather, a theory that has not been proven. Still, this idea is stupid. And insane. If you actually believe at least half the country will boycott shopping, you're an idiot. Americans need to buy out of Burger King, McDonald's, and hot dogs and bacon every day. That alone makes this idea not happen. In fact, I'll bet there's a bigger chance the whole sea will evaporate before this happens.
