You've probably all heard about the conflict in Georgia between the national government and Southern Osetia which aspires to break of from Georgia and integrate into the Russian federation. What you probably haven't considered is that the US is Georgia's ally and if the tensions between Russia and Georgia, and consequently the US, perpetuate for a little longer they could have an effect on the american public and compel people to vote for a wartime president like mccain.

In all likelyhood the conflict will be over in a few days but the chance remains that it could influence the election. discuss.

this is not a game. poor analogy.

anyway, experience is obviously crucial; but this isn't children of the corn, where only young people can move on. young and old alike can work toward solving a problem.

also older people tend to be more set in their ways. alot of the current challenges are new ones (that need experience from the elders) but also demand a fresh perception and new ideas.

old people are tapped out. Wink

Does your english teacher know you don't capitalize letters besides the "G" in god?

Unfortunately you left coherency back in the wasteland.

Any way in accord to the actual topic, I think that the American public is very aware that there is trouble in the world besides the war in Iraq and I hold that the georgia-russian conflict (short lived as it was) will serve as a reminder to some that no matter what a politician says, humans beating the piss out of each other is one guarantee that you can always count. Iran, North Korea, Russia (if you've been paying attention the ruskies have been saber rattling for awhile now). The GWOT in all it's many climes and places (yes, we're fighting terror places besides Iraq and Afghanistan.)

Most of these situations are rather delicate and this is just me thinking out loud here, if you have a sports team and it's a close game do you put your least experienced players on the field or your most experiences players. Age, experience and guile make up for youth, exuberance and a goofy name.

anyway i return from the desolute american wasteland, after six years, to bring common sense to the noiseboards.
and chaos.

there is a whole s*** pile of global and american problems right now, and georgia ranks #112, in my oppinion.

i say that american family's are desperate for solutions; ESPECIALLY for domestic issues.

HOME needs help. it's breaking point.

either way obama brings something to the table that has been lacking for 8 years.

optimism.
