Well, Nevada could have swung Bush's way had it not been for Libertarian Michael Badnarik and independent Ralph Nader.

That state was razor-thin close, but here's the sickening thing in all of it:

$1 million = 400,000 votes

That's what the Badnarik campaign raised and received, which, on the outset, doesn't look too bad. I've met Badnarik twice, totally nice guy, educated on a lot of things.

But part of me blames the media blackout on his campaign, which is like every year really.

But the thing that really ticks me off is that the LP will run candidates just to run them. Okay, yeah, I guess that line of reasoning would go over well, because hey, if there are two candidates you despise, why not vote in protest?

That same line of reasoning would have you put Mickey Mouse as the third candidate (this is not presidential I'm speaking of, but state House/Senate, US House/Senate) if you wanted to.

But I'm officially through with the LP. They are absolutely useless. If they focused more of their effort on local, winnable races, and maybe the small state rep. races, that's one thing.

In keeping with the races for like, Court of Criminal Appeals -- I mean, what the heck?


I'm now a Republican - 90 percent.

The other 10 percent will be divided: Nine percent will go for Libertarians in special cases, and the other 1 percent will go to Ralph Nader - if he runs for oh, president again. Or if he gets his Populist Party up and running.

Yes, the LP has been good for many, many things, such as getting their planks public for the Republicans to use, but it's time to realize that only two corporate parties are in charge, and breaking their hold in this country is clearly impossible.

Let me rephrase: I'm a Ron Paul Republican...don't want anyone thinking I'm a neocon or something.
