The Supreme Court is undergoing a period of high turnover, judges are dying and retiring and it’s time to get fresh legs in there for sure. But there’s a problem, both democrats and republicans want to see someone with the same ideology as them sitting on it. It always seems to boil down to one great moment in American history: Row Vs. Wade. Let me explain that there was a reason that this decision was made in the first place. We have an extraordinary constitution that was written YEARS ahead of it’s time. The founding fathers had incredible foresight when writing this amazing compilation of sentences and paragraphs. There is no wording in there for abortion to be legal or illegal, because back in their time, women did it themselves, jumping down a flight of stairs or off a roof etc… So there was no medical practice for it. But the constitution does not have any legislation in it forbidding abortions. So this doesn’t really lie in the Supreme Courts arena, it’s congress that needs to do something. There is a system of checks and balances for a reason, lets not let our government break this system which has done it’s job for the last 200+ years.
