No they aren't, it's a disk of plastic and some metal foil. They cost about 10 cents to manufacture. Thats why you can buy blank ones for about 50 cents a peice. The biggest cost comes from marketing, advertising, and general profiteering. Thats why my friends can make a CD for their garage band and sell them for 3 bucks, still making a profit.

Hasnt it always cost money? I mean, unless you made it yourself. Then its free. Unless you charge yourself. Then you would be dumb.

ok fine. but,one small question, when did music start to cost money?

We're also taught to ask before burrowing or sharing something too. When you don't, that's normally called "stealing." If no one's asking the band if they can "share" their music... Then it's stealing, not sharing.

BTW: Napster is legal now. They just make you pay for it and pay a royalty to the band/singer.

why should napster be ilegal, weren't we tought to share as kids.
