yes, i think it will affect the fact that she is a woman and her dad is not known for his political savvy but his having affairs...but it shouldnt!! i dunno, maybe she would make a good president, you guys do have a good point
They are going to blast Obama for being too inexperienced, he wouldn't even have a full senate term under his belt.
Hilary Clinton has strong political views, strong ideas and convictions. Will the fact that she is female affect her? Maybe but I think if it is Gulliani or McCain ticket, they will win anyways. I think that this election has illustrated how conservative this nation is. And unless the Democrats can do something to change that, the Republican party is strong.
Hilary on the ticket could spur the largest percentage of women voting in any presidential election. She will clearly connect with the women more. But we will see, it all depends on who else will be running with her.
quote: yes, i admit that it can get in the way...president clinton was a genuis(i know i've said) and was an amazing politician...he was savvy smart and ...smart! i'm just saying...things CAN run in the family...and, i dont mean to be sounding like that, i'm sorry, i just dont have a very good feeling about her in charge of America...
Areyou saying, having affairs runs between spouses? That makes no sense. just because the husband has one, doesn't maean that the wife will. And she had her chance to leave him and if she didn't I think that shows she's not craving to have sex with other men.
And if you're tlaking about how smart Hilary is, it wouldn't matter if smarts ran in the family, She has different genes than Bill Clinton. And she's proved how good she is at politics.

quote: Maybe you're right, dj. Are you referring more specifically to how we picked Kerry over Dean because we perceived him as more electable? If you are, that's really a very good point.
That’s exactly what I'm talking about. In some cases that extremely aggravated me. The simple fact is in some cases we let the Republicans pick Kerry. During the primaries what did you hear on the mainstream press from the Republicans "oh I hope the democrats pick Dean, they would be doing us a favor." Of course the democrats bought into this instead of thinking that perhaps sense we have different ideas then Republicans maybe we should have been not taking their advice. Of course this is all speculation but from my perception a good amount of my Libertarian/Republican friends said they would have voted for Dean if it was between Dean and Bush.

I can't really comment on this because in all honesty I haven't paid much attention on Hillary.
To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. -Teddy Roosevelt
I have a question. Kerry? ELECTABLE? Who was the executive genius behind that idea? When was Kerry even remotely likable during the primary season? I can't believe MY state chose him.

I have to agree with Iceland on this one. Not particularly on the Hillary Clinton thing but rather voting on simply because they have a PERCIEVED bigger chance of winning; in my opinion this was the democrat’s biggest error in 2004.

Bella, that's one of the most absurd and offense things I've ever heard. Hillary Clinton has had no known affairs, and there's no reason to believe she would do so. Besides, a person's sex life should in no way enter into their political life (although it inevitably will).
And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"
yes! even though its not my country, i would say yes to a female for president.
I just wonder why Hilary Clinton didnt whack his husband especially after that Monica affair. I mean really.... Its embarrassing, plus its totally degrading.
I think Hilary would be a good canidate in 2008. Even if you disliked Bill Clinton's affair (which, please, almost all presidents have them) he was a good president. Hilary has experiance in the White house as someone said. She also has a pretty strong backing from the popuation. And I think a woman running along with a black canidate would get alot of sdupport. I know alot of people who think it would be a good idea to have minorities in power for once.

Hillary has no feasible prospect of getting elected if the American people truly vote based on the most sensible, efficient policies, rather than gender, in the 2008 elections.
America has never been run by a female, but having a vagina doesn't make one more suitable for candidacy; the same applies to males.
HC is a Socialist, and unless we desire to end up like Canada, we'll vote LP.
I express amusement as I am typing this, as I know countless individuals have no inkling as to what the Libertarian Party is.
